Bottle sample during RBSG. The cider is a hazy yellow with a white head that fizzes away quickly. Aroma is funky and floral. Taste lends a musky quality. Medium body and medium carbonation. KyotoLefty (10598) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 15, 2017
750 ml bottle. Poured with as much height as I dared. Acid nose, apples, a touch of acetic and lactic acid, dust, wood, citrus. Cloudy gold, heading towards pastel, with a few bubbles. Striking acidity like in Belgian sours beers though nothing like the most sour of the bunch. Touch of vinegar is less than a Flemish red. Woody and dry, but with nice fruit flavors lying underneath, both green apples and citrus. Funky, farmhouse flavors and aromas but not over the top. Crisp and refreshing, with just enough sweetness down there somewhere. hayduke (5617) - Eureka, California, USA - AUG 2, 2017
