12oz bottle. Poured a lighter and hazy golden color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of toasted grains. Tastes of grains with some corny sweetness. Thin body.

Ok, so I have had the fat cats and regal braus of the world, and they actually are better than bud miller or coors, very rarely is a beer worse, and here is your beer, Siebens, it tastes like corn syrup with a little bit of liquid smoke and cardboard.

Golden to light bronze color with a fizzy off-white head that dissipates to a few bubbles on the edge of glass as I type this. Caramel and grain silage aromas along with some simple toasted whole grain bread. Malty, but not necessarily in a way that I like it. Has a light rancid nut and Damp toasted malt and grain flavor. Somewhat fizzy in feel, but not watery. This just seem like a poorly put together brew. To be honest something I would make with the leftover grains when I was homebrewing.

Not a bad beer and seemingly adjunct free. I think this should perhaps be changed to the Premium Lager category. Unfortunately, no info to be gleaned from the website concerning its ingredients, ABV, and the like.
From the bottle it pours a golden yellow body with a steady stream of bubbles and a tall creamy head. The aroma has sweet grainy malts with traces of herbal bitterness. Smooth, obviously properly lagered. The taste is light, toasted grains and honey with a touch of herbs. If this had a more serious hopping, itd be a decent lawnmower beer.

I know someone named siebens, i thought this might be their beer. They have a problem with getting struck by lighteneing and this beer has a problem of being struck by sucking. A bad lager, what else is there to say.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2007 From a 12 oz. twist off bottle with a freshness date on the neck of bottle. Poured a clear bright yellowish macro golden with a small foamy white head that quickly settled into a thin lacing. Aromas of powdery, white dusty cereal grain and rice malts, a very light, subtle fruitiness, lemony and maybe apples. I didnt pick any cooked corn scent which kind of surprised me, clean overall. Good steady carbonation and a crisp, smooth light bodied mouthfeel. Simple tastes of thin neutral pale sweet grainy malts, a very soft apple fruitiness that mingles with a pronounced grassiness towards the end and a palate cleansing grassy, grainy finish. Better than what I expecting, especially since the Siebens website doesnt mention anything about taste, usually a bad sign, if this was $2 to $3 cheaper a six, I could see this being a late August summer regular, a nice, easy hot weather drinkability. meh, nothing too exciting other than the fact that I couldnt find this on the site. picked it up at Binnys in St. Charles. The taste wasnt your basic swill, it had some copper hints with a touch of carmel in addition to the corn and swill combo. A Decent lager though. Cheers

Neutral gold color with a moderately clinging white head. Light, sweet aroma, a bit like kettle corn. The beer enters smooth ans a bit bland, but some sweetness sneaks through - again with the kettle corn. It finishes with some brown sugar stickiness. This is not a bad beer.

Light golden color with a white head that quickly disappeared. Light malt and a hint of fruit in the aroma. Flavor has some malt and caramel notes. Nice mothfeel. An extra point for the nostalgia.

What a lovely brew. Its complex, a tiny bit hoppy but not too much, a little bit sweet but not too much, substantial, refreshing, and satisfying. The nose is herbal, and the palate is light but not thin. There are elements of sage and desert herbs in the tongue, a tiny bit of sharpness to balance out a lovely pilsner fullness. I cant express how much I like this beer. I think its a little heavy for an after-mowing-the-lawn beer, but its wonderful for with-dinner or an after-dinner beer.
