Beerhunter111 (21276) - P´Castle, GERMANY - APR 14, 2014
Rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, dunkle überreife Früchte, holzig. Geschmack malzig süß, leicht alkoholisch, trockene überreife Früchte, holzig.

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 14, 2012
The head is good, the body red-orange-brown. It smells strawberry, mild CO². The taste is very sweet, less alcoholic, barley, mealy sweet, fruity. Special and nice! 11/12/12/12/-/12

bierkoning (13387) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2012
Bottle. Dark brown color. Citrus and oak in the rather floral aroma. Malty, alcoholic flavor with clear vinous notes, oak and vanilla. Thinnish, but well matured.

Travlr (25208) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Bottle. Extremely dark ruby maroon color, thin beige head with good retention. Aroma of ripe prunes, dates, blueberries, caramel. Taste is sweet and syrupy dark fruits. Light carbonation. An above average barley wine. Here’s hoping that the reinheitsgebot is dead once and for all!

MoritzF (9959) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - SEP 30, 2011
(draught at Festival der Bierkulturen 2010, Köln) Hazy, light-brown colour with a beige and short foamy head. Sugary sweet and slightly toasted malty aroma with strong spicy notes. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft, even a bit flat carbonation. Syrupy malty taste with notes of berriers and cinnamon spice; sweet and slightly sticky sugary malty finish with notes of alcohol. Not my thing. 16.V.10

Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - SEP 23, 2011
Beerig-erdiger Geruch. Antrunk getreidig-beerenfruchtig. Mitte Malznoten und leicht bitter. Entschlossen fruchtig-bitter abklingend. Gut. Festival der Bierkulturen. Köln - 14.05.2011

jfb (6348) - GERMANY - MAY 18, 2011
(bottle) pours a clear amber-ruby colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of dark berries and kiwi fruit, quite yeasty with hints of cinnamon, grapefruit, caramel and light alcohol. flavour is mostly the same, quite heavy, with lots of dark fruit, raisins and brown sugar and some sherry-esque oxidation, quite sweet. heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.

Koelschtrinker (20591) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 7, 2011
Vollmundig. 10/11/12/12//12

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - APR 27, 2011
0.375 l bottle (8.5 %). Reddish brown color. Sweet strongly caramelly flavor with white wine, grape and tropical fruits. Dryer yet very vinous flavor bready yeast, white wine, raisins, lingonberries, oak and some solvent. The aroma is quite exotic and promising but there is too much old yeasty bread in the taste.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 7, 2011
Dark red colored with little brown head, cloudy appearance. Sweet and raisinny aroma with yeast, berries, overriped fruits as well, some glue still here still distracting. Medium to full bodied. Flavor has even more glue in it, sweet berries and thin wooden tone here too. Sweetness lasts in slightly sour aftertaste, wooden dryness lasts.
