(Imperial Alien Stout) abv 8.2% big btl w/swing top lid pours dark brown almost opaque black with massive creamy tan head that lingers for a while leaving bits of lace on glass. Smells of chocolate, coffee, figs, molasses, booze and a faint bit of ash. Tastes of sweet caramel malts, chocolate, coffee, dark dried fruits, and a hint of black licorice. Light to medium body, light creamy mouthfeel, good carbonation, light and tingly mouthfeel, and a dry finish. Decent beer, easy to drink and very tasty. Nicely balanced, not to sweet, great flavors and the alcohol is hidden very well. FlacoAlto (4228) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JAN 23, 2014

A steady pour into my New Belgium globe glass produces a two-finger thick, lightly brown tinged, dark tan colored head. The beer is a concentrated brown / black color that shows a hint of a burnt amber hue around the edges when held up directly to the light, but is otherwise quite opaque. The aroma smells of dark chocolate, cold coffee, sharply roasted malt, and deeply toasted whole grain notes. The charred aromas take on a sharp, almost acid note to it towards the finish, and there is also a balancing, savory (concentrated, dark umami like notes) character up front in the nose.
Rich, smooth, with savory, almost smoky roasted flavors, the beer is really quite toothsome and chewy, without being overly heavy. The body, while having a density and palate coating quality, is not overly heavy. Dark chocolate notes are brought out by a rich, roasted malt sweetness, but this is offset by charred acidity from the roasted malts. Roasted prune notes, and perhaps some hints of molasses.
A tasty beer, one of the better ones made by Sierra Blanca. Definitely on the light side for a modern Imperial Stout, but I like how this manages to have a richness to it. While rich and savory, at times the flavors can come off a touch on the thin side.
Bottle. Dark brown color with tan sheen. Dark chocolate, leather, tobacco, black licorice aromas. Medium body with average carbonation. Tobacco, dry dark chocolate, black licorice flavors---good Metalchopz (3672) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 1, 2013
Goes under the name "Imperial Alien Stout" and purchased at Area 51 Alien Center. Pours an almost black colour with a creamy beige head and lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, vanilla and even leather. Smooth mouthfeel, but a little thin for the style. Almost creamy. Taste of smooth roasted malts, light fruits, cacao and sugars. Goes down nicely as alcohol is well-hidden and this one is quite smooth all around. fluffy (2461) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - OCT 13, 2013
had as Alien Stout. while decent, i found it fairly one dimensional and blah. much better stouts out there.

Vapourous, vinous, sweet roast aroma. Inky pour, purply tan head. Roasty, lightly sweet, nice coffee tones, especially in the finish. Medium body and not too heavy, finish doesn’t cling but is pleasantly roasty. On tap, Hay Merchant, Houston. Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Aroma of sweet roasted malt with subjections of chocolate and dark fruit. Pours a thick black, with a mostly lasting, tan head and moderate lacing. The taste follows the nose - sweet roasted malts. Dark roasted malts, dark fruit, with touches of molasses. Medium-full body with moderate carbonation. Overall, a well brewed Imperial Stout. Would drink again.

From the bottle at Double Helix. Opaque with an attractive cream colored head. Dry roasted malt flavor is not complex at all but still satisfying. More of an Irish stout than Imperial. Still a nice beer. rougeau13 (3276) - Richmond, Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2013
On tap at Mongoose vs Cobra in Houston and listed as Alien Stout. Close to black with a big beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, coffee and tar. On the sweeter side with a light roastiness in the flavor. Medium-full bodied. Good, but lacking some punch and fullness for an imperial stout.
