out of all the nut browns that I have tried, this is my favorite! And since I am new at this rating thing I will have to work on building my critique comments and learn the lingo. please be patient with me.

This is a very good Brown Ale, my sister brought some back from a trip out west. Beer is always the best souvenir, it's a liquid post card. Pours a light chestnut color with a thin beige head. Pleasant roasty nut aroma. Flavor of brown sugar, nuts and hops with a good dry finish. A good New Mexican beer. agillespie81 (315) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 5, 2010
Aroma - basic malt, nutty, faint sweetness;
Appearance - very dark brown, fluffy head, decent lacing;
Taste - slightly sweet malt front, back is nutty, hint of chocolate, dry finish;
Palate - somewhat crisp, good body;
Overall - solid brew, nothing over the top yet still well built. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - AUG 21, 2003
Deep ruby auburn color. Aroma is very nutty with TONS of caramel, almost like unfermented caramel malt with lots of coffee and chocolate notes to boot, very rich for a nut brown, almost like fresh made wort mixed in the end. Flavor is a little more bitter but the rich caramel and chocolate is very present. Finish was wet and slightly sweet and bitter. Overall this is a great nut brown with lots of good flavors associated with the style. The toffee/caramel notes in this one are exceptionally well pronounced. Thanks dmwhal!

Malty aroma of hazelnut, dark toast, and caramel. Clear ruby-brown color, thin off-white head. Sweet, nutty, malty flavor, no hops detectable. Medium body, smooth. One of the best examples of a brown ale I’ve tried. ziabeerman (3) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - MAY 12, 2008 does not count
A well brewed Brown with a very pleasing nut flavor. Lighter bodied which allows for a high drinkablility. Very enjoyable. bluemeow76 (693) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - DEC 9, 2002
Definitely a nut brown. A lot of nuttiness in the nose and flavor mixed with a good balance of brown sugar and perhaps nutmeg. A nice warm feeling comes over me while drinking it! AustinMilbarge (681) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 1, 2003
White frothy head. Good brown color. Not much apparent carbonation. Slowly diminishing head. Good nutty flavor. belgianhomebrew (646) - Acworth, Georgia, USA - AUG 17, 2003
Good malt aroma. Body is well balanced with the malt and nut flavors. Finishes drier with each sip. A decent brew.
