The best of the mexican SMBC brewery, great great palate, with good texture. Of course the standards of a porter are meet, chocolate notes along with soft coffee and a bit spicy at the end. Not a remarkable head and poor aroma, but nonetheless, a great try for a country full of mediocre lagers.

Dark brown to black color, white head. Roasted and chocolate scent and taste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.
My favorite from Sierra Madre Brewing Co., a very good chocolate flavor, it’s a well done english ale kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - NOV 28, 2007
Draught at the brew pub on Av. Insurgentes. This was a pretty basic porter, a bit thin with some roasted and chocolate flavors. Dark brown with a lacing off-white/tan head. Not bad.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2006 This is new in Mexico. I have tried similar beers here in another brewpub, but this has a different flavor, completely. Black and with white head, curious, but it sticks to the glass as it has to.
