"I think this got a raw deal being that it was served alongside 4 different versions of the bigger beer, but even so...we started with it, and it was pretty watery thin right off the bat. the aroma was light but pleasantly hoppy, and the flavor was also nice and refreshing, if a bit on the weak side, even for a brown. it was pretty unique, though, tiny bits of syrup flavorsmingling with the hops. going back to it after sips of the 10% beer, though, were just a waste."

A: Dark brown body. Thin-ish head with spotty lacing left as the head slowly receded.
S: Earthy, woodsy, leathery. Not too much going on here, but some interesting notes. Light hop bitterness.
T: Wow. A rather "life"less flavor profile. Muted outdoorsy spice and caramel malt. Almost (flat) cola like in both taste and feel.
M: Off-ish cola feel. Very light carbonation. Thin, but not watery in feel. Slightly slick.

On tap at Rehoboth brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a one finger off white head that has nice retention and Leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma is earthy and woody with an underlying piney citrus hoppiness. Flavor has a mostly mildly sweet, earthy, grainy taste with citrus hops and a light roastiness through the finnish. Pours a moderate caramel brown. Almost looks woody. Nose is fairly light, but there are noticeable notes of leafy hops, leather, maple, and molasses. The taste certainly brings a lot of these elements, though they are certainly faint. The finish is dry and brings out a bit more. I wonder if this would have been better in cask.

I drank this on tap at Whole Foods into a pint glass. They only got 5 gallons and I got super lucky to try this as I was the last on the keg as it only poured half a beer.
The beer pours a medium brown that is surprisingly clear with a tope colored head that is huge and fluffy and lasts several minutes with great retention.
The aroma was all about hops, you can tell right away that cascade was used because they are the star.
The taste was good because the hops stood out front bringing a nice piney bitterness to the beer. However, it ended with the typical bitter nuttiness of a brown ale that I don’t particularly enjoy so it ended on a let down.
The feel was good but drinkability is limited because of the brown ale qualities.

Draft @ The Front Door, Boise: Pours a light amber color with a light head. The nose is light and toasty with some light hops and some fragrant malt. Not quite as full and fresh as its predecessor but it’s an easy drinking beer. Partigyle is a bit dated, but it’s fun to taste the outcome on certain styles such as this. Interesting pour. Clear, dark brown in color but a bright-white head. Roasty aroma complemented by citrus hops. Notes of barley, hay, and leather. Tastes like... straw. Dry palate.
