COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2014 Beer Camp Across America Release.

Inspired by the perennial café favorite, Double Latte combines two of the greatest things in life: good coffee and great beer. Oregon’s Ninkasi Brewing knows their way around a good cup of joe. Featuring cold-press coffee from the legendary Stumptown Coffee Roasters and a dose of milk sugar, this coffee milk stout is a rich and roasty treat.

This young-gun brewery has a locomotive charge. A rich conversation at a local bottle shop in 2005 has morphed into a Pacific Northwest staple. Named after the Sumerian goddess of fermentation, Ninkasi’s first batch of beer was Total Domination IPA and it remains a must for those with a lupulin itch.

Black pour with a brown head. Aroma is coffee and some bitterness. Taste is coffee, sweetness from lactose. Tasty beer. Nice balance of the coffee bitterness and the lactose. The hops are kept in check with lactose and coffee.

Last of the beer camp series for me! Pours a deep black/brown, espresso head. Aroma is big coffee, caramel, roasted malt, cocoa, some sugary fruits. Flavor is espresso, bitter cocoa, cream, dark fruits, sugar. Med/full body, well carbonated.

Really enjoyed this. Dark brown to near black appearance with coffee colored creamy head. Light milk chocolate coffee and toasted malts on the nose. Taste is medium sweet rich and roasty with a creamy soft palate. Well made and great.

Bottle. Black, light tan top. Very pleasant soft milky coffee on nose, roasty malts, some sweet milky licorice. Isn’t aggressive at all, just lingering there, without being weak watery. Smooth mouthfeel. Excellently balanced. Super drinkable, leaving a long clean light milky coffee finish. Really nice beer.

Bottle. Rich chocolatety aroma. Opaque black body with thick tan head. Excellent lace. Basically tastes like it smells. Rich sweet dark toasty flavor with more chocolate than coffee. It’s been years since I had a latte, let alone a double latte, so don’t recall if, like this beer, a latte tastes more like a dessert than coffee. Excellent for the style; just not my favorite style.

This was shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Poured dark brown almost black with a tan head. Nose starts out as coffee and then coffee arrives. Medium plus body. Smooth creamy mouthfeel .Flavor is lactic sith a lot of coffee and chocolate in good balance, and a long bitter coffee based finish. Really good and enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had over facebook chat. This pours very dark and has a smallish tan head. Not a big aroma but it offers lactic and roasted notes. A little cocoa, too. The flavor begins with coffee. It has a very authentic aspect to it. Some interesting lactic notes. Later the chocolate emerges more. Just a little fruit from hops. Later the coffee returns to prominence. The brewers did a nice job with this one. Well done!

Tasted from bottle. Pours black with a thick tan head with excellent lacing. Incredible aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, milk and caramel. Taste is also excellent. Perfectly balanced. Coffee espresso, chocolate, toffee, caramel, biscuits and roasted nut flavors. Probably the best sweet stout I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12fl oz bottle bottled 5/30/14. Pours black with a half finger, creamy tan head that sticks to the glass. Aroma has great notes of dark chocolate milk, coffee, a hint of nuttiness, caramel, and bread. Really great. Taste is fricking awesome. Creamy dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, bread, and an espresso bitter finish. Perfectly balanced. Full body with a medium carbonation. Creamy in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall probably the best coffee beer I?ve had. Perfectly balanced with a great, creamy mouth feel.
