Drank from the bottle because I’m on my porch and forgot my glass in the kitchen. Aroma is delicious! Banana and Clove. I can’t say I smell any hops, but I sure taste the nice balance bitterness. Palate has a really bright carbonation that finishes slightly sweet with the banana Clove lingering. Really good Belgian! Brevis (33) - Washington, USA - SEP 4, 2014
Draft Pint. I am not even a big fan of this style of beer but it was a great drinking brew. I think it would be an amazing partner to a few jalapeno poppers and hot wings! jlulensk (39) - san jose, California, USA - SEP 15, 2014
No matter what the taste, any collaboration between russian river and sierra demands your respect. As does any Beer Camp beer. But this one has the benefit of tasting great. Blend of Russian River’s belgian chops and Sierra’s hop bite, it’s awesome! sloshgator (741) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 17, 2014
Sierra Nevada / Russian River Beer Camp Yvan the Great is a one off you have to try. Blonde pour with a fluffy white head giving off a wonderful tropical aroma. Taste is a nice balance of malt and aromatic hops that linger on the palate. Yvan the Great is a just that -- get it while you can. hopwine (670) - brooklynzzzzz, New York, USA - JUL 11, 2014
Straw gold, nice head, good clarity. Nose is spicy/yeasty, hint of banana. Flavor is same plus intense herbaceousness, pear, clove-y phenols, pepper, lemon. Dry, elegant, delicious. Tons of finesse showing here with so many well integrated layers of flavor.

A great Belgian ale aroma. This is tasty. Very spicy Belgian ale. Could easily drink a lot of these. A great beer to finish of the 12-pack, maybe even my favorite of the group. HonusWagner (2168) - Florida, USA - AUG 8, 2014
I had unbelievably high standards for this beer going in, and they were more than met. I love basically every beer Vinnie makes, and the Blonde at the brewery is one of my favorite session offerings ever. This beer was probably even better. Floral, a tough citrusy, loaded with fantastic Belgian ester qualities, like a premium version of Ommegang Fleur Du Houblon. So drinkable. Give me more, please. maltman53 (472) - Corrales, New Mexico, USA - JUL 16, 2014
This beer shows how you can use Belgian yeast without the big clove, banana, bubblegum ester flavors. Russian River has really dialed back the Belgian yeast and I love it. The bittering hops, Brewer’s Gold, is soft and yet gets the bittering done. The finishing hops include Celeia, a soft, delicate aroma and taste of tangerine. Overall, maybe it’s because it’s nearly 100 degrees outside while I am tasting this beer, but man, this is the prefect beer at this moment. Good job Russian River! closey22 (1945) - Mt. Hazy yellow gold(almost ’white’) with thin lacy rimming offwhite head; aroma is rich blend of grain and citrus with notes of yeasty funk(plastic); flava is a very complex explosion of citrus hops spice herb grain; feels light and crisp decent fizz; finishes hoppy bitter but clean Bule (2163) - California, USA - JUL 4, 2014
12oz bottle pours a golden color with a bit of frothy head. Belgian yeast fruity aroma. Lots of fruitiness balanced against some mild hops. A little pineapple and ends with marmalade citrus flavors.
