COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Turn up the bass, plug in, and settle down for a long jam session with this hop-forward beer. Brewed for the 25th annual Asheville Christmas Jam, this hop-driven session ale is the perfect beer for this one-of-a-kind musical marvel. This easygoing beer works its way up the scale of hop flavors with cool notes of citrus and pine alongside bright fruity aromas. This medley balances against a light, toasty malt backbone for a mellow balance and jam-worthy drinkability. In previous years, our friends at Asheville Brewing Company had the pleasure of making this musical brew, but Sierra Nevada was lucky enough to get the call this year, and what an honor it is. Cheers!

Initially fruity citrus and pine nose. Fades a little into grainy and bitter, but stays pleasant. Does a decent job at being a session ale - just not very exciting, and a little more malty yet more bitter than expected.

Pours hazy apricot with a very thick and frothy, though not too long-lasting, eggshell head. Aroma presents strong fresh malt, pomme fruit and lemony tones. Flavor features evergreen hops, fresh malt, pomme fruit and citrus notes, somewhat bitter, a little sweet, quite enjoyable. Mouthfeel offers decent body and some firm tingle. Jam on!

2016.12.25 - 22oz bottle in Asheville NC (on Christmas Eve!) No long review... Does what it says on the bottle (assuming 5-6% qualifies as sessionable). Pretty hoppy but without the lingering bitterness the aroma would imply. Tasty, subtle hoppy ale. A bit more palatable (to me) than they typical PAs and IPAs in SNs lineup.

16 oz draft pours a hazy golden color with a nice white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, lemon. Light bodied, nicely balanced, a very nice beer.

The best session IPA Ive had. I actually liked it. Id have thought this was a regular ol IPA if youd poured it and handed me a glass without telling me that the S word was on the bottle. It pours golden yellow with a fair amount of foam. The aroma is lemony and grassy, it smells great. The flavor is clean and slightly malty, with a big, hoppy finish. Not watery, not weak, not boring, not thin. This beer actually tastes good.

Easy drinking with lemon and pine notes. Its a fine drinkable beer but not outstanding.
