Bottle for my WOB 2500, dec 8 2015. Nose is slightly sherry oxidation with a light boozy nose. Taste is lightly peppery with a light caramel note. Fairly smooth without much alcohol noted. Seems a bit thin and grassy but held up well.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2014 Bottle share thanks to Homer321. mikdly hoppy, light citrus, caramel malt. Hazy orange pour, nearly no head now. Lots of caramel malt, oak, vanilla, earthy hop flavor, moderate bitterness. Finishes a bit sweet with some alcohol heat.

"dark orange, almost red. big fluffy head. very aromatic...mostly a sh--load of hops, but some sweet malt and oak in there if you try really hard. i am pretty impressed with the anniversary lineup...they are among my favorite SN beers. big juicy beer, hoppy and bitter, floral, with a lasting aftertaste. Does taste a little like the pale, but trust me...just a little. This is a big boy. smoother than the initial onslaught of hops in the aroma would have you believe."

From notes. Enjoyed at the Ashleys Rare & Vintage Beer TasteFest on June 07. The pour is a nice ruby color with a light tan head and some sporadic lacing. The aroma is really hot up front. Lots of bourbon and vanilla that fades through a nice caramel malt and a good hoppiness to follow. For the woodiness and vanilla, I love the hoppiness. The flavor also packs some heat. Very earthy, with light roast and a dark fruit presence , while remaining hoppy and dry on the back end. The mough feel is thin, not much carbonation, and the aftertaste is excessively woody and just a touch off, maybe leathery?

On draught at Roscoes for Sierra Nevada Summit/Tap Takeover. Super thick copper amber color with tan head. Aroma is oxidized caramel, citrus, and toffee. Taste is incredible, with caramel, toffee, pitted fruit, bitter grapefruit, oxidation, and oak. For such a mishmash of beers, it is very well-balanced.
