2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
As of late I can not find the time to take tasting notes of each beer I sample. I would like to track and record my thoughts of each so I will just use the simple scoring rubric until more time is available.
A hazed golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light caramel notes, light oxidation, chalk, OK. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light honey and wet paper. Too old. Sammy (13230) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 4, 2016
A good Belgian pale with a light bitterness. The corriander worked. Very Good drinkability, with characteristics checked across the board. GarrettB (1732) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 22, 2016
July 19th, 2014 - My course through Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp continues with Myron’s Walk, a lovely jaunt through a citrus grove in a bottle. The brew is a hazy, almost soupy, camel color with a good head of white, crenellated foam. The aroma comes off as soapy at first, but then shifts to a clean brewery smell, light grain, vanilla, tangerine and lemon-lime. I wish they could manufacture a scented candle out of this, because it is calming and wonderful. The lemon-lime carries over into the flavor, too, surfing on a spritzy carbonation. An orange note makes an appearance and lasts through to the mineral water aftertaste, crisp and with a touch of Belgian sugars and beet. juiceisloose (1632) - Windermere, Florida, USA - JAN 9, 2016
12 oz bottle from old tasting notes. Pours a hazy golden orange color and topped by a small off white head of foam that quickly settles to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of orange peel, spices, bready malts, and a distinctive Belgian yeast to go with some floral hops on the back. The flavor follows with the sweet citrus fruit, orange peel, herbal spices, and sweet bready malts. The Belgian yeast adds its unique flavor along with some floral hop bitterness to balance things out. Medium bodied with tingly carbonation that least to a spicy, yeasty finish. Solid Belgian ale. Pale gold hue, soft haze. A very thin, short-lived, soapy head dissipates within seconds. Not a lot of staying power. Lots of coriander in the nose. Lemon peel, crackers, dill. Milder flavor than aroma. A bit of peach, pepper. dry, bitter finish. Medium body, fluffy and creamy. Very nice. Mild CO2, gentle fizziness. Tasty enough. Nicely quenching, good flavor balance, bitterness and dry finish.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, at laiti’s, 20150613, thanks) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness and Belgian style yeast. Plate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste were fruitiy and bitter. A very fruity but too thin brew. jgb9348 (6723) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUL 4, 2015
Crisp, super hazy orange-tinted bronze coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall microfoamed tan head - very nice looking. Aroma of deep belgian yeast, bread, coriander seed, curacao, light spice, a touch of fragrant hops and quite a bit of wheat. Medium-bodied; Spicey flavour at first with a good deal of grass and herbs around the edges and a mellow sweetness towards the end. Aftertaste shows coriander seed and hints of yeast/bread, but a more complex and herbal finish. Overall, a very nice belgian styled blonde beer with a good yeast kick and some complex herbal flavours throughout. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle in the twelve pack sampler purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 30-July-2014 for US$22,00 sampled at home in Washington a few steps away on 04-July-2015 to celebrate Independence Day. Fruity hop aroma. Refreshing fresh hoppy taste, floral, a bit of wheat, light and uplifting. Very decent pale ale. Drinkability good certainly.
330ml bottle @laiti’s, thanks. Clear golden color. Small size, white head, stays. Sweet, malty, orange marmalade, fruity and bit yeasty in aroma. Malty, sweet, fruity and yeasty in taste. Sweet yeasty aftertaste. ACHops (1737) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 14, 2015
12 oz bottle served in a tulip glass. Pours hazy golden orange with medium creamy off white head. Aroma is lightly sweet caramel malt with a faint earthy spicy undertone. Taste is clean earthy malt with a light spice note throughout. Coriander is dominant, but light Belgian yeast notes also stand out. Lovely pale ale.
