3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at toronado with Andrew and streets. Pours a clear yellow golden amber with no head. Aroma is vanilla and cream. Mouthfeel is light and soft with great notes of vanilla age honey in the finish.
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2011 Poured from a draft into a pint glass at San Diego Brewing Company at San Diego, Calif. Color was honey golden. Appeared to be an inch of head. Minimal lacing. Lots of film all the way down the glass.
Smelled grainy and grassy first, but some light citrus hops in there as well.
Tasted grassy, earthy and grainy. Bitter finish on the tongue after.
Medium body. Mild carbonation. Fairly drinkable.
Just an okay beer. A bit too grainy for me. marcus (10576) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 26, 2011
On tap at Downtown Johnny Browns. Pours yellow with a nice white head and a floral aroma. There is a tasty pale malt flavor with some carbonation and a dry finish. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - SEP 22, 2011
On tap. Pours with a lightly hazed golden body with a thick, tight, creamy white head with excellent lacing. Aromas are sweet, bready, honey, biscuity, very floral (lavender?), estery. Flavors are floral and quite spicy, bright, fresh mountain air (coming from LA, that might actually just be Febreze). Dry, medium bready, sweet biscuits. Solidly bitter with a slight overall balance in that direction. Good. Lively bubbles and dry. Light bodied. Gets quite spicy as it warms. DeputyAndy (636) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 18, 2011
Draft at toronado with jredmond and Pwn3d. Pours a hazy yellow with little head. Honey aroma with slight bitter hop nose. Taste is very bready but finishes very clean. Nicely sessionable. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 13, 2011
A: The beer pours a fairly clear golden color with a white head.
S: A nice citrus hop nose up front with lots of grapefruit and lemon peel. Quite a bit of floral hops with lots of biscuity malts. A touch of grass and pine on the back end.
T: Slightly sweet with a fair amount of bread and biscuit. Lots of grapefruit and floral hop flavors with a light bitterness. Some hits of pine and grass on the back end.
M: Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation.
O: A fairly well done pale ale from Sierra Nevada. Could have used a bit more citrus, but not bad otherwise.

On tap at Hamiltons. Clear golden with a creamy white head. Faint citrus aroma. Tastes of orange and lemon with a mild tartness and a barley malt finish.
