Bottle shared at The Bruery - thanks! Pours clear, amber-gold with a creamy, white cap. The nose holds tangy berries, wood, leaves, honey and toffee. Medium sweet flavor, lightly oxidised, with dry wood and toffee, dry orange. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth on the finish with more dry woodiness, toasty toffee, leafy bitterness. Bottle @ The Bruery. Copper pour with an off-white head. Orange peel, booze, and bourbon. Some nice vanilla, toast, and caramel. Quite heavy on the oak. Sweet flavor of bourbon and caramel. Very oak and vanilla forward. Toasted malt, hints of peach, and a light pine bitterness. bhensonb (15967) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 15, 2013
750 c&c from the Sierra Nevada shop. Pours darkish ruddy copper with a creamy/foamy dark beige head. I’m getting pineapple notes with some rye, but not much in the way of bourbon. Med body or maybe a bit better. Flavor is amazing. The carb has to foam away, then there’s that pineapple note, followed by rye and oak, and finally some bourbon/vanilla. It’s rather spicy, and hoppy, and I’m getting a burn from something. I vote rye. Oak and bourbon are very low key in the finish. Hop and rye spice are the stronger flavors, but pineapple pops in and out.. Just a delight to drink. slowrunner77 (13205) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 6, 2014
"Very excited to try this, though the jury is out on barrel aging IPAs. Generally, not an improvement, though I really enjoyed the uniquness of, say, BA Ruination. This one was vanilla, booze, and fruity hops on the nose. Nice color, smooth. The flavor seems a bit confused. Faded hops mixing with sweet bourbon, some bitterness and fruit but it tails off, even becoming a touch watery. Overall, really cool to try, but a way more expensive yet not as good as the base beer experiment." GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 27, 2013
750mL shared at Woodshop 8. Clear, light orange pour. Lower foam. Nose is tamarind, vanilla, sweet bourbon, vanilla cake. Taste is juicy, orange peel bitter, pine. Clean, richer body. Spot on.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light bourbon. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with light malt and light bourbon. GenDV138 (7828) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JUL 5, 2014
Bottle shared while staying with a friend near Sacramento. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, vanilla, light citrus and floral notes. Tastes of light bourbon, oak, vanilla, citrus, pine, rye. Medium body with a dry finish. Low carbonation. Probably better fresh but it hasn’t aged terribly. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 26, 2013

On draft at Tap 25. it pours a similar color to the regular version. Golden orange, clear with an off white head. The aroma is strong with bourbon, vanilla, caramel and a bit of rye spicy maltiness that adds another dimension. The flavor is pretty strong with alcohol and more of the spicy wood, bourbon flavors. It seems to meld nicely with the hops and rye. A nice sipper. thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 14, 2013
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated transparent copper orange colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was mild malt and mild hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of mildly vinous hops and bread dough. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
