COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a true West Coast-style Double IPA made with huge amounts of hops - both in the kettle for flavor and later in the torpedo to impart a massive hop aroma. The light malt body and dry finish hide the power in this immensely drinkable hop-bomb.

Pour on tap, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of nice citrus, orange, bread, biscuit, lemon, touch of grass. Taste was a mix of earth, grass, lots of lemon, some orange, hints of bread, finishing bitter, clean. Nice contrast to the juice heavy IPAs of late.

Clear golden hue with a fluffy off white head. Brisk earthy piney resiny hops on the aroma. Smooth crisp flavor that’s pale malty and vibrantly piney and floral hoppy, a little resinous and pithy, but ultimately a tad boring and forgettable. Clean and well made but doesn’t shine in any particular way.

Draft. Golden, orange color with a milky white head. Big lacing. Aromas of citrus, hay, and lots of hops. Taste is fairly sweet with not much bitterness. Overall pretty light, easy drinking.

On Tap lightly hazy light golden almost with a hint of green. Thin smooth white head. Very light malt flavors...almost lightly sweet. The hops are bitter and fumey but not much freshness. Piney and slick. Big and smooth like a 9% beer would be, and decent . Just not remarkable.

EBF Boston 2017. Un liquide orangé. Un nez d’agrumes, de pamplemousse, de résine. Une bouche d’agrumes, de houblons nobles, bonne amertume. Peu de chose à dire autre que c’est maîtrisé.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2017 Sample at the Mills River brewery. Clear dark golden color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of grapefruit, piney hops and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Draft at Sierra Nevada NC. Pours orange with a white head. Leaves lots of lacing in the glass. Lots of citrus notes on the nose. Fairly citrusy on the tongue as well. Hides it’s booze well. Finished clean. Drinks really smooth for a double IPA.
