On tap at Brouwer’s Café for Big Wood ’12, pours a hazy dark / golden amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, wood barrels, and some slight sourness (probably from the barrels). Flavour is quite a mess, with the barrels obscuring the base beer, leaving light wooden notes, soured quad-like notes of dark fruits, and candied sugar. Strange and unorthodox. OK stuff. Regular Ovila Quad is better.
