"Dark amber brown - roasty and hoppy. Don’t know what this 3.5% ale is trying to be. Part hoppy amber, part mild porter?? Anyway, it was ok but there were better beers to have up and down the board." skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - NOV 17, 2013
On tap at the brewery a few days ago. While it’s not loud, it’s not supposed to be, and is rather nice for what it is. Be nice if chilled heavy in the summer! DTM (798) - Vacaville, California, USA - OCT 28, 2013
Sampler at the brewpub in Chico. Decent amount of hop, but just didn't have much flavor. I guess the session beers don't do it for me.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a creamy tan head.Aroma is citrus over dark malt. Med body. Flavor is a little resin/citrus over some roasty dark malt. Suggests either hoppy porter or black IPA. Lots of flavor for 3.5%.
