On tap at Rattle n Hum during their Sierra Nevada event. Pours a clear orange amber with a thin white head. Light almond nuttiness. Sweet and toasty. Slightly acrid flavors, like nut skins. Toast and sweet nuttiness on the finish. Not so good. Very astringent bitterness sort of unbalanced it all. bb (9241) - Alamo, California, USA - JUL 19, 2010
Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet malt and light mineral flavor. Medium bodied. Sweet malt and light earthiness lingers. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 14, 2010
On tap at Blue Palms. Pours with a clear orange body and a small, slightly off-white head that stays. Aroma of corn, grain, caramel and lightly nutty. Toast, grass and slightly rich. If I hadn’t seen the name, I wouldn’t guess almond, but it smells like it a bit. Taste is smooth, nutty, toast, caramel and pistachio. Lively bubbles. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - APR 12, 2011
Draft @ Rattle ’N’ Hum SN event. Orange pour with little to no head. Light nutty malt aroma. Light nut, clean and crisp tasting brew, sessionable, however not a whole lot of flavor. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 11, 2011
Draft @ Rattle & Hum. amber pour. notes of caramel malts, mild bitterness. Almond nuttiness. Nothing outstanding but nice interpretation of the style

Draft. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Nutty dry and light malt tones. Very neutral. A modest bitter note, just a nice clean drinkin brew. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Draft @ Bittercreek, Boise: Pours a dark amber color with a light white head. The nose is toasty with some nutty qualities and a deep malty body and lightly hopped nose. The flavor is clean and creamy with a smooth malty mouthfeel, average body and the toastiness on the malts is a little more accentuated than most malty fall lagers. Good job local dudes. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 3, 2010
Tap at RNH. Pours a clear copper ok thin head. Aroma is mostly straight forward- toasty nutty light vienna malts, slight biscuit, earth and herbal hops. Flavor is light mineral, mostly nutty doughy fresh malts, a bit on the thin side, only slight hints of almond or marzipan- but I may not have picked that up if I hadnt been influenced by the name. Crisp and clean in the end- nice. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 29, 2010
Tap at RnH. Dull, inoffensive aroma. Saying I smell almond in this is a bit of a stretch. I smell cheap cookies, thats about it. Flavor is similarly dull... though there are a lack of flaws, it is pretty much as generic "ale" as you can get. Little to say about this one. hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - MAR 7, 2011
on tap at papago 7/28/10.
looks like a marzen... orange-y brown with an off white head.
yeasty nose mixed with grass, nuttiness, caramel, grain and straw.
the flavor is the same but it has an almond paste-ish thing going on, some herbal hops and a yeasty bitter finish.
it is medium bodied but lacks the crisp-ness and drinkability i like from the style. 7/3/7/2.5/14/3.35
