On Tap. Pours with a deep reddish highlighted deep brown hued body with a large and lasting, foamy brown head with good retention and lace. Aromas are nutty, coconut, cola, licorice, dark fruits, chocolate, dry, earthy. Clean, no esters. Flavors are nutty, malty, chocolate, toasty, coconut, restrained roast, rounded and soft malt character. Medium to light clean bitterness. Clean ester wise, low alcohol and some cereal. Clean, medium heat, medium dryness, lower carbonation with a fuller mouthfeel. DePox1234 (2) - Michigan, USA - SEP 19, 2012 does not count
Attended a Tap Take Over at Crunchy’s in East Lansing. The style was true to form. Full bodied, roasted notes of chocolate, coffee, and scary smooth at 7.3%.
This beer got better as it warmed towards room temp.
The coconut note began to make its appearance to give this Baltic Porter a tremendous finish. A true Joy Ride! joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - SEP 12, 2012
On draft at Tap 25. It pours a dark reddish brown with a tan head. The aroma has dry roasted coffee beans, roasted nuts and cocoa powder. Pretty dry. The flavor is dry and raisiny with some roasted malt. Lighter bodied than expected. Pretty tasty, but underwhelming.
