Mahogany color, with small creamy head. Nice aroma of malt, caramel, Ale yeast (quite spicy, peppery, Swedish), lightly fruity hops. Caramel flavor, dark, quite dry, with chocolate (dry as well), a bit dusty, and strong ending bitterness, with more roasted malts, a bit ashy. Too much... Swedish (uh?).
Draught at Haket, Göteborg.
Dark brown colour with creamy head. Caramelly malty nose, along with juniper and cocoa. Medium bodied and medium sweet with long flavour from juniper, caramel and a light toffee that doesn’t disturb the overall impression. Good balance from start to finish. On tap at FO. This reminds me a bit of Rogue Dirtoir. Pours with a very deep brown (near black) body and a large tan head that lasts. Aromas are nutty, cola, vanilla, grainy, pumpernickel and a bit of a spicy hop note. Some caramel and tar. Flavors of rye, molasses, pumpernickel bread, earthy with bitter chocolate in the finish. Light bubbles. Well made, but really nothing extraordinary. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - JAN 26, 2011

Appearance: Pours a deep dark reddish brown with a creamy beige head.
Aroma: Fresh grassy hops.
Taste: Medium toast, grassy hops. Finishes very clean.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and a touch creamy.
Overall: Delicious and highly drinkable. Lots of character.
Pours a dark black with a tan head. Nice amount of coffee taste to this one. ends with a little bit of hop bitterness. The ABV seems lighter. Really nice beer.

Poured into a pint glass at Sierra Nevada’s Brewery in Chico. Color its dark, with a nice head that stays around. Aroma is mostly hoppy, with a hint if floral. Flavour starts out with a mild amount of hops, then transitions to a toasty flavour, and finishes with a chocolate taste. Overall very clean and crisp flavour. Carbonation is perfect for this lager. Highly recommend this beer, wish it was in bottles. I look forward to drinking it again the next time I visit the brewery. bnoel09 (587) - Elk Grove, California, USA - JAN 8, 2011
From a Sierra Nevada "Hop" glass at the brewery in Chico. Dark cola brown with a moderate tan head that remains throughout the drink with great lacing. Aroma is primarily floral hops. Flavor is malty and nutty with very mild hoppiness. Also has mild chocolate notes on the finish. Extremely smooth and drinkable despite its dark appearance. Excellent beer - hopefully this will make its way to bottles at some point! Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - NOV 13, 2010
Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2010. Dark reddish brown color with creamy head. Honeyish malty aroma with hint dark bread, resins and ginger. Honeyish and bready malt flavor with dark bread. Sweetish, low bitterness. Smooth palate. Fairly plain taste, needs more bitterness.

Pours deep red chestnut with a small, creamy, yellowish head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light sugar, soft liqourice. Light carbonation, fine light and rather dry mouthfeel. Flavour is softly bitter, chocolate, softly roasted. Elegant with a good, grassy hops bite. Nice.
