This unique take on the traditional IPA style pairs the bold and intense aromas of whole-cone hop "flowers" with aromatic natural rose hips and petals for complex aromas and unexpected flavors.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear amber pour with white head, floral aroma, taste is like drinking a bouquet of flowers, not really it does have floral hop but its quite well balanced with malts.

Happy to get to try this even if its nowhere near its peak. Bottle. Nose is surprisingly vibrant with floral hops, pours deep orange with fantastic reddish edges and a billowy off-white head. Taste is dryish (some hop oil sweetness) with medium-strong, scrubbing and rubbery bitterness, but its clean, without astringency, and really lasts, nice for what it is. A little more alcohol packed in than the abv marking would indicate, or perhaps its just the interaction with the hops, but the booze and strong florality push this into extreme perfumed IIPA range (which I generally tend to find undrinkable). Medium-full body. Even though this particular flavor is not to my taste, theres still a winning texture/mouthfeel here and and obvious mastery of process.

A nice copper body with nice slightly off-white head that had great retention and nice lace. Aroma upfront had a nice slightly sweet caramel malt presence, but was over-powered by great resinous hop notes and nice floral hops there was some mild grapefruit in the background. Flavor was mildly sweet and great hop profile through out. Grapefruit hops seemed to have a little more flavor than the aroma led me to believe, Nice dry finish.

Appearance was clear orangish gold with creamy off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are spicey floral hops with slightly sweet malts, clean yeast profile. Taste are hops upfront with grapefruit, lemon, pine, resin, with sweet caramel, pale malt backbone, no alcohol present. Palate was smooth soft CO2 with meduim body, then hoppy lasting citrusy finish. Good hoppy IPA, little past its prime...

Hazy amber with a creamy tan head. Aroma is floral and grainy with caramel and vegetation. Taste is floral with caramel, sweet malt, semi-vegetal and mild bitterness.

355ml bottle from Trafalgar Wines, Brighton. Hazy amber colour lasting light beige head. Yes a floral hop aroma which is very attactive. Its ok, but quite light in the mouth. Some ok bitterness on the finish. Bit of nettle and almost pee on the aroma. Its fine. Attactive aroma. But this nettle pee thing is just a bit ughy for me.

Scopey (13323) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2013
Bottle at home, from Nelson Wines, Merton. It pours clear golden yellow with a medium off-white head. The nose is floral, grass, dough, farmyard and a touch of pithy citrus. The taste is hay, strong floral, grass, wood, pithy citrus, light metal and nice hope-bite with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome, well balanced and very drinkable.

Bottle pour to pint. One of a Beer Camp 12-pack that I enjoyed in deer camp. It says Floral in the name and it is the most flowery beer I can remember. Its okay, but too floral for my taste.

Pours hazy amber with thin white head. Strong floral hop aroma. Very nice hop flavor with lively mouthfeel and a clean finish. One of the best IPAs Ive had in a while.

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a medium off-white head, which lasts very well and leaves reasonable lacing. Turkish delight, pine resin hops and some caramel malt make up the aroma. There is a touch of rose up front, which is overcome by pine and spice hops, moderated by a rosehip tea flavour. Caramel malt comes into the mid-palate, with rosewater appearing towards the finish. More pine hops appear at the finish, leaving a bitter aftertaste which is tempered by the sweetness of rosewater. This is a very interesting beer. The rosehips and petals are well-integrated, and serve as an excellent counterpoint to the bitterness of the hops. Its a little strange, but very enjoyable.
