Aroma is very floral! Properly named. Great hop character, fills the air w earthy, slightly piney, wood aroma. Classic American IPA appearance. Well carbonated, light-medium body is right on. Flavor is wonderful! Lots of fresh bitter hop tasteless, balanced well with some malt flavor (not very caramelly or toasted). The winning hop aroma is what sets this beer apart! 330ml bottle. Another great beer from Sierra Nevada. Seriously do these guys brew anything other than great beer. Looks very good in the glass, smells amazing and tastes great. What more can you ask for. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 8, 2012
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2012 355mL. Chill hazed deep amber pour. Massive buttermilk foam. Large retention. Webby, complete lace. Nose is fresh biscuit, orange marmalade, sourdough bread. Taste is mega sharp sourdough bread crust, flour, lemon peel, grapefruit. Palate is awesome- super quenching, mega biscuit, mega sourdough, mega pilsner crackery malt. Wow. 8/4/8/5/16=4.1PhatB420 (840) - Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 13, 2012
355mL. Trying this one again for the third and fourth time, I need to up the score. This is just so biscuity, raw, rustic, crackery, snappy, sharp with amazing hop cone oils, rose hip earthiness and chewiness. So sharp and balanced. One of my new favorite all time IPAs. 8/4/9/5/17=4.3

12oz into a 14oz sierra nevada tulip. Aroma is apparently floral, with exchanges of the rose, hopfully strong whole cones. and mild grass and pine. Theres alot going on in the aroma sense, almost perfume for a beer. I enjoy the complexity. Taste is hoppy, piney, bittering, and then sweet in the aftertaste. Color is a dark orange, bronzed tan, and metallic brown. That sweetess is stil lingering in after 1/2 thre brew, with mainly a citurs flow, apples and grapefruit, some pineapple in there too, and then the bitterness jacks you in the tongue. Different and nice.

Great label, kinda Monty Pythonish. Very much like their Torpedo, but with some extra hops up front. Floral, yes, but also perfume and even a little muskiness. Light, complex and enticing aromas. Some spicey flavors follow along with the usual luscious hop/sweet carmel malt interplay. Long bitter finish. I love it. high_on_hops (809) - Burlingame, California, USA - AUG 31, 2012
On tap. It looks like a typical IPA in appearance, with a goldish color and white head and lacing, but it has the freshest hop (and flower) aroma and taste I’ve ever tried. It is like drinking a hop picked just off the vine. The malt comes through enough in the taste, but this is definitely a hop-head beer.

Bottle sample at Nejaime’s, MA. Pours rich gold with a strong, white fluff head. Big grass and pine nose, some reeds. Medium sweet flavor, heavily bitter but not abrasivev with sweet grass, light honey, lightly toasted pale malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Rich brown bread in the finish, strong pine, mild resins. Excellent brew. Maris (1498) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JAN 9, 2013
From a 355ml bottle (2012 edition) on 9/1/2012. Pours a relatively clear, deep golden with a smallish head. has a lovely, big hoppy aroma with floral, fruit and pine notes. The flavour is bold but not too over the top, with bready and biscuity malt, honey, sweet citrus fruit (mandarin) balanced by a big, dry, lingering grapefruity bitterness, and a slight tart lemon sourness. Full bodied and nicely carbed. Another wonderful IPA from Sierra Nevada. JawVer (39) - - JAN 18, 2013
12 oz bottle pours hazy golden brown. Nice bitterness with good flavor. Highly recommend
