Tap at Papago. Hazy burnt orange color pour with a small foamy head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops, light fruit and toasted malt. Flavor is sweet at first, with tropical fruits and spice, followed by a big bitter hop and alcohol finish. Nice.
22 oz. bomber from the SN brewery. Wow, I accidentally held on to this for far too long. :( I’m rating this on what I *think* it probably tasted like when I should have drunk it. It’s still crystal clear and a beautiful deep copper color with a light tan head. However, the hops that I’m sure were fresh and delicious at one time have now turned vegetal and cloying. It doesn’t taste bad, but it’s just kind of muddled at this point. Makes me want to cry. Damn my hoarding ways!! cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 12, 2012
Bottled. Dark orange-amber in color with a short-med sized forthy off-white head. Good retention and spotty lace. Caramel malt aroma with resiny hops. Slightly sweet on the nose. The palate is similar to the nose, but shows big ingredients and plenty of warming heat. Full body, heavy-creamy texture, average carbonation, and a malty, sticky bitter finish of considerable length. The bitterness stacks up as you go. A bit over the top. bb (9790) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 9, 2012
Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Tropical fruit andgrapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and sweet malt flavor with tropical fruit and something rotten. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Rotten fruit and sweet malt lingers with grapefruit and tropical fruit. Rotten fruit in background. AmEricanbrew (7080) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 20, 2011
Clear amber color/ ivory foam. Big spicy, tropical fruit, pine, floral pungent hoppy aromas. medium bodied with average co2. Tropical fruit, dank spicy, floral, pine flavors meshing nicely with a caramel, pale malt base--very good. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - NOV 28, 2011
24 ounce bottle. It pours a really nice golden copper color with a lasting orange head. The aroma is very peachy with some sweet candy coated hops and tropical fruit. The flavor is a bit harsh with some potent melon rind and mild solvent bitterness. Theres some cotton candy sweetness finishing with a palate bruising finish. One of the roughest Sierra Nevada beers I’ve ever had.

Clear copper pour with a small, off-white head that lasts and leaves good lacing. Aromas are of mango and papaya, quite dry, zesty, pine needles, very vibrant, lightly bready, some alcohol and a touch of caramel. Flavors are a little bit sweet and candy like, tropical fruit, guava and strawberry. Medium bubbles, light bitterness but a lot of hop flavor. Dry and very tasty. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - NOV 21, 2011
Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Grassy citrus caramel and hop resin aroma with an oily sticky palate and a soapy bitter taste. SamGamgee (2585) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - OCT 26, 2011
Bottled. Clear medium-dark amber Cole with good off- white foam. Green apple, white grape and tropical fruit aroma. Big resiny flavor with some green apple sweetness. Long bitter finish. Decent amount of sweet caramel thrown in there too. the hops here are either super green apple or there is some acetaldehyde going on. Not really sure what to think about this. Not great but not awful. Not to sierras standards though. Such is the risk of beer camp I guess.

A=toasty, gf/citrusy, slight pine, pineapple, spicy alcohol, bs.
F=a... Spicy pineapple, warming alcohol on the finish.
