Clean cereal malt and grassy hop aroma from a crystal clear medium yellow/gold body with a foamy white head. The aroma follows into the taste with a lemony/citrus flavor. Good pilsner taste with a bit more malt sweetness and less crisp hop bite than usual, but very tasty nonetheless. Finishes with a lasting earthy bitterness and grain aftertaste. Probably should have rated this last year when it was fresher, but it’s my last one so better late than never! Another good Beer Camp beer from SN. Bottle Beer Camp variety pack from BevMo: Poured a golden sparkling liquid that was crystal clear as a true pilsner should be. Aroma is mild with a grassy nose of hay and green Euro hops with a pinch of spice in the background. The drink is crisp and clean and certainly refreshing on a boiling hot summer night. Flavor is light with only a minimal amount of cracked barley malts and a minor touch some sour earthy hops. Okay pilsner but it won’t be that memorable. THOUGHTS: Not really my kind of beer, but pretty nice for a pilsner. Pretty amazing how they packed all that flavor into such a low ABV beer. I would have guessed it was much stronger by the flavor. Almost the flavor profile of a European Strong Lager. Nice balance.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium yellow with an average, white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma had light light-colored bread, grain, straw and pale malt; and moderate floral, grassy and citrus hops. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet, lightly bitter and slightly sour with an average duration. There was pale malt, grain, straw, grassy hops, floral hops, citrus hops and white bread. the light to medium body was a little dry with fizzy carbonation and a slightly metallic finish. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - JUN 19, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Bottle: Light-gold with excellent clarity, lots of rising carbonation bubbles with a white, frothy head. As good as a pilsner can look. Aroma is full of sweet pilsner malts, lightly toasted grains, mild bread, and dry, musky Noble hops. Warming brings out a strange "creamed corn" type aroma... I like some DMS but this is a little too much. Bread, grains, and barley in the taste. Heavy pilsner malts. More of that heavy DMS-corn flavor with some dry, earthy, musty, floral hoppage on the back end. Finishing spritz of citrus peel and lemon zest. Slick mouth feel, heavy carbonation. While not bad, this would be a great pilsner if the DMS was toned down just a bit & it lost that heavy creamed corn essence. ross (2146) - weddington, North Carolina, USA - JUN 17, 2013
Bottles from the beer camp 12 pack. Pours out a yellow color with a white head. Smell is hoppy, bitter, and very similar to just standard beer. Taste is crisp and refreshing, plenty of hops, and very smooth and easy to drink. Not a bad beer, wish this was available all of the time - better than summer fest.

12oz served into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint
A - Pours a clear golden straw with a rocky 2 finger head that sinks to a wispy cap. Little to no lacing.
S - All the goodness of a Pilsener. Grassy noble hops, grainy pilsener malt, nutty cereal grain, clean lager yeast.
T - Toasted grain malt kissed with honey, almost like a light graham cracker, grassy and floral hops create a light spicy bitterness, lemon backdrop, leafy hops sine on the crisp but wet finish.
M - Medium full bodied, medium carbonation, crisp wet finish.
Tons of flavor packed in a 5.6 ABV. Big props for that. But I would have liked a little drier finish. A solid session lager packed with lots of flavor.

Bottle. Medium golden colour with a lasting tight white head. Aroma is very hoppy, perfumey and grassy. Light biscuit malt pairs well with floral green grassy hops. Very drinkable, absolutely awesome for patio sunshine days. Not getting the imperial designation though-- is it meant to imply that they hopped the shit out of it? Bottle from Slowbeer. Hazy pale golden, small white head quickly disappeared. Piney, slightly dusty with a dry bitter finish. Not your typical pilsener by any measure. Ok, but sightly confusing. stoutchap (423) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 27, 2013
I have a hard time with this one. I really enjoyed it. Looks nice with a solid mouthfeel and fairly complex hopping ... but it’s not really a pilsner if you ask me. Which means I like it ... because I don’t like pilsners. yespr (45709) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 6, 2013
12 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and light toasted. Bitter, crisp hoppy and light citrusy. Smooth fruity and crisp bitter into a smooth fruity finish.
