COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Produced especially for the OBF, Beer Camp’s golden color and medium bodied sweetness comes from pale, Europils, Munich and acidulated malts. Magnum, Crystal and Pacifica hops provide a distinctly American bittering and hop flavor profile without going over the top. The result is a refreshing, balanced, crisp pilsner, easy to drink on a hot summer festival day - or to take with you to beer camp.

18 Aug 2012, bottle. yellow, clear, steady bubbles. nose is slightly sweet lager with faint alcohol nose. thin body and moderately fizzy. slightly skunky, sweet lager. nothing special, and certainly nothing to justify calling it imperial. still, it’s a decent lager

12 oz. bottle- Pours crystal golden with a nice fluffy white two finger head. The aroma is kind of grainy, but citrusy, moderate hops, lemon rind. The taste is crisp and refreshing, citrusy, lemon. Body is medium and carbonation is medium high. I really liked it, one of the best Pilsners I have had.

12 oz bottle from the 2012 variety pack bought from work. Pours clear golden with a medium collapsing white head. Aroma is bready, grainy, citrusy hoppy, sour berries. Taste is biscuity, lightly sweet with faint bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is creamy, carbonation is fine. Smooth and crisp. This is absolutely delicious. One thing I don’t get--how is a beer with only 5.6% ABV considered "imperial"?

Sampled on 8/17/2012. This Imperial Pilsner pours a orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet with some orange and orange peel, touch of bread as well. A medium bodied Imperial Pils. The malts are bready, fruity and sweet. The hops are spicy and herbal. Nice carbonation. Big full round carbonation. Very nice beer. Mouthfeel is very full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Nose is grassy with some very grainy notes like hay. Palate is medium with a stickiness and a light bite. Flavors of grainy malt notes and grassy hops. Quite full of flavor and a big mouthfeel.

This is by far my favorite of the 2012 beer camp sampler. Aroma is full of citrusy hops. Very little head. Taste is of hops, but not over poweringly bitter. Pilsnery malt shines through in balance with the bitterness. Very refreshing. Very nice beer.

Bottle - small foamy head, clear light gold color, balanced aroma and flavor, with citrusy hops and sweet light malt, very crisp, overall very good

Pours a opaque golden colour. Nice white head, quickly dissipating. Great fruity flavour, a nice crusty bready flavour on the backburners. Good carbonation. Overall a good pilsner, a little fruity for the style, reminds me more of an IPA.
