Our aggressive Imperial Red Ale is a massive mix of smooth malts and West Coast hops that have no patience for the lupulin leery. This crimson beer starts with caramel-like malt flavor that can’t suppress the assertive, citrusy hop finale.

3rd in the sampler 12 pack. Pours ruby red color. Nice c hop aroma profile. Big caramel malt and toffee flavors. Finish is citrus and spruce pine. Bit of a burn late in the sip. Nice drink.

Bottle. Pours ruby red with a small foamy head that never completely fades away. Aroma is funky but good. Lots of wet grassy mustiness but theres some great citrus and pine hops too mixing with the heavy, sweet caramel malt base. Taste is moderately sweet with a moderate bitterness too. Smooth sweet caramel malt mixed with some aggresive citrus, pine, and grassy hops. Finish is way too dry and a little soapy. Medium to thick body, creamy and oily mouthfeel. I really like this except for the ultra dry and soapy finish.

12 oz bottle pours a reddish amber color with a thick off white head that leaves great lacing. Smells of caramel, dark fruit, citrus, and pine. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is slick and oily with good carbonation and a semi dry finish. Not as good as last years version but still a pretty awesome Imperial red. A little on the hoppy end but still well balanced. This is the last beer I tried in this years pack. Can’t wait to see what next years pack holds.

Caramel start, strong alcohol, hops in the end. Overall very nice beer, should have bought more bottles.

12oz. bottle. Intense aroma of malt toast and piney hop, fruity and fresh with notes of resin, earthiness, dark brown sugar and hop florals. Medium-dark red-amber color with a lasting, fine, uneven, off-white head and nice lacing. Flavor profile is very nicely balanced between the darkly sweet, toasty, amber malts and bitter, piney hop, some spruce and faint berry in the background, and finishing with a burst of green, leafy, earthy hop and unmistakable ale yeast fruitiness. Smooth, creamy, drying and lightly resinous mouthfeel, body is medium-full. Very slight warmth appearing late. SN literally puts on a clinic on how to brew an Imperial Red here.

Reddish Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice Imperial ale flavor. Good alcohol flavor mixed with hops and good citrus finish. Very tasty beer.

It poured a dark red color with a tan head. The aroma was of strong caramel malt and some grapefruit/citrus hops. The taste starts strong with caramel malt sweetness, then into piney/citrus hop bitterness. It had a medium body, medium carbonation, sweet, bitter, balanced, sticky with lingering dry bitter finish. Good stuff.

Bottle at home. Pours clear dark amber to tawny with a large, foamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is cookie, toast, and caramel malt, dates and plums with earthy and herbal hops. Flavor is dates and plums, lightly caramelized malt, medium hops and bitterness with a dry finish that nears sweet. Full body and medium carbonation.
