On tap a red brown with modest light tan head. Nice malty body with a faint alcohol finish. Better as it warmed and the hops came out at the finish over the alcohol. Quite nice. GranvilleTim (1855) - Granville, Illinois, USA - OCT 4, 2013
Red-brown pour with a big tan foamy head. Aroma is caramel malt and pine hops. Taste is caramel malt, pine hops. Nice balanced beer. Alc. well hidden. Creamy finish- great lacing. salvaticas (761) - - OCT 4, 2013

This is actually a bit milky, with some fruitiness at the back end, maybe orange. Pretty good still, thought the caramel is a tad on the sweet side. J_man (996) - Tustin, California, USA - OCT 2, 2013
Burnt wood notes in the aroma along with earthy notes. Clear copper/amber color with a light tan head. Scorched sugar and molasses sweetness followed by a creamy vanilla flavor. The alcohol becomes very evident at this point along with a good bitter earth/forest hop presence. A bit of butterscotch in the back along with more charred wood notes. Finishes dry and sweet with a lasting bitterness.

12 oz bottle from a trade with BrewJay. The pour is brown ruby copper with a large three inch light tan head that falls slowly and rockily. The aroma is caramel toasted malt along with softer pine floral hop resin. The taste is the caramel malt mostly, though the resin and bitterness of the hop’s are in the back and the finish. The palate is medium bodied, a bit chewy, the bitterness and a bit of alcohol is in the finish. Nice take on a style I don’t normally love. Thanks Jay. brokensail (16444) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 29, 2013
On tap @ Smoqued BBQ. Copper pour with a tan head. Aroma is big pine and floral hops. Herbs, a touch of peach, melon, and sweet caramel malt. Sweet flavor of caramel and melon. Big pine and herbal bitterness. Floral notes, mild citrus, and toast. sickassmick (229) - Concord, California, USA - SEP 28, 2013
pour is hazy brown, creamy khaki colored head. smell is fresh malt and some honey and citrusy hops. Taste is very fresh and sweet . mouthfeel is nice lively medium high body. finish is lasting bitter hop, almost metalic. overall tho, a very good replacement for traditional lunch. Warms the belly but the alcohol isn’t really present in the taste, just be careful! I was going to try to rate all three of the beer camp beers in one sitting, but i have a feeling if i do i’ll turn into a giant piece of dook.

12oz bottle 9/27/13 (Binny’s Downers Grove Mix A Six)-40° in snifter-Pours a murky red with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, sweetness, caramel, and toffee. Taste of hops, malt, caramel, and alcohol. This medium bodied brew is not bad but a bit hot. junon (430) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - SEP 26, 2013
Looks like a brown ale. Full bodied. Hop overload in both aroma and flavour. I really don’t see the point in doing an Imperial Red. However with that said it does taste good. Right at the end there is a slight chocolate finish. Not too bitter. No real unique notes.
