Pours a dark amber with red highlights. The aroma is sweet with caramel and bread. The flavor has the sweetness up front but quickly gives way to the citrus and peppery hops. Quite dry with a very nice after taste.

From a 12 oz purchased at The Greeks into a pint glass of some sort. Pours a crimson red. Three or so inches of head and some sticky lacing. Very nice piney aroma with some lighter fruit mixed in. Mouthfeel is sticky with a solid amount of carbonation. Taste is first off a scotch ale but then the hops kick in. After which its bitter and piney. Some skunk, veggies and pineapple. Glad to have tried it and I could see myself drinking it when I feel like a big ass red IPA.

12oz bottle from the Beer Camp box, pours a really dark red almost brown with an off white head, aroma is a mixture of sweet malt and caramel with a good amount of citrus and hops mixed in as well, the flavor has a nice hoppy front end with a smooth sweet finish, not over the top bitter and hoppy and not too malty, a really nice mixture of the two, really nice stuff.

Very dark amber brew with small quickly fading head. Aroma was like dewberries or blackberries with a small copper metalic hint. Taste was a more hops than expected but still pretty good. Other than the hops there was hits of the malts and a thick mouth feel that made this one really good. Hope the store has more of this Beer Camp sampler left cause looks like I’ll be buying them out. kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - AUG 27, 2013
This red ale is so dark it almost looks black. The head is bitter and stick. Pininess and dusty dirt characterize the aroma. The flavor starts with caramel malt instantly crushed by the west coast hops and leading into the smoothest finish available in a beer anywhere. All hail IRAs. If you aren’t smiling this will wipe that frown clean off your face. BVery (10485) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - AUG 26, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle from Beercraft in Rohnert Park, CA. Clear amber pour with a small wispy head. Citrus / herbal hops with plenty of caramel and booze - comes off a little medicinal. Crisp on the palate. bytemesis (8357) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - AUG 26, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear deep ruby mahogany, medium beige head that slowly dissipates leaving nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, resin, cat piss, caramel. Flavor is about the same, light sweet and medium bitter. Caramel adds a little sweetness up front, but then the bitterness takes over and brings it all home. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Perhaps a bit too much bitterness on the finish, but otherwise tasty. fattybladdy (628) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - AUG 26, 2013
Bottle to pint. Deep ruby color. Aroma of sweet malt and dark fruit. Taste is big on pine and strong malt, also red fruit and a bit boozy. Heavy beer. Bitter finish.
