Hello my love how was your day? Poured from the 12oz bottle to a tulip. Less "red" that expected, appearance is a dark cherry wood. Aromas are superb!. First rush on the nose is a nice blend of fresh floral hops (A SN trademark) cherry, currant and caramel malts. The alcohol gives a pop on the end of the nose. Good complexity. Stone and tropical fruits also make themselves known in the aroma. The mouth feel is surprisingly light considering the bitterness from the hops. Bitter-fruity-juicy-with a touch of sweetness, the finish retains that clean Sierra Nevada Profile. This is and amazingly approachable ale. A bit of black plum and grapefruit, and caramel and toffee and and and...Just a lot going on. The abv is well hidden. I enjoyed the finish, long but not overpowering bitter and mouthwatering citrus. Fridge some of this.

The pour is more of a mahogany brown than red. I suspect I’m in for a crystal malt bomb. Poured with a nice white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with a touch of cherries. Flavor is very strong cherry and cocoa notes with a citrus finish. Orange and bitter grapefruit rind dominate the finish. Pretty much exactly as advertised. Sweet candy malt meets west coast hops. Enjoyable and drinkable. Perfect beer for a fall night. Fatehunter (2640) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Poured two and half fingers of head on a deep red colored body.
The aroma is nice with dry grain and lemon zest.
The taste is bold. Lots of malt balanced with a heavy dose of pine bitterness.
The texture is crisp but thicker with moderate carbonation.
A big imperial red ale, no doubt. blutt59 (6598) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2013

Misc.: Thought I saw either a born on date or best by on the bottle, but I couldn’t decipher the numbers. Almost want to say best by Nov. 23, 2013.
Poured a dark red, almost mahogany color with three fingers of frothy khaki tan head. A healthy amount of pretty event layered foamy lacing. Great retention on the top all the way down.
Initially smelled wet Cascade hops and caramel malts, probably leaning toward the latter. Other malts were toffee, toasty bread and a tad bit of chocolate or cocoa. Hops that came in after were pine, soapy, lime and floral. Smells more like a regular IPA than anything else.
Taste was more like what I pictured. Got smooth caramel malts, toasty bread, roastiness, rye hops, iced tea, bread, toffee and faint chocolate. Very good.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish.
I really enjoyed this beer. Nice and smooth with good balance. I’d definitely have it again.

12 oz bottle. Pours deep reddish amber with a bit of medium debris and a yellowy off-white head. Piney aroma with sweet caramel hints. Flavor has a citrus and piney, occasionally tropical hoppiness with toasty caramel malts. Pretty enjoyable. VenomousViper (29) - Oak Hill, West Virginia, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Pours a cherry red with a one finger head that goes away quickly. Aroma of malt and hops. Tastes of caramel malt and hops on the back end. Surprisingly easy drinking for a fairly high abv beer. sherm1016 (1274) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 9, 2013
12oz bottle, from Downer Wine and Spirits. Pours a deep, ruby red color with a fluffy tan head that fades and leaves some lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy, pine, a little orange citrus. Medium on the palate vith very creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, a little nutty, hoppy, pine, citrus, grapefruity, with a clean bitter finish. Another nice beer in the Beer Camp series. portableparty (2398) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - AUG 9, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Pours dark amber/crimson with a tight khaki soapy head that rests to a wispy spotty film. Aroma is strong resinous piny hops and spice. Taste is more bitter piny citrus hops with spice and earthy notes and a brunt caramel malt and warming booze. Palate is medium to full with a sticky dry warming finish. Me dig it! drfabulous (8802) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - AUG 9, 2013
12 ounce. West Coast red with big caramel flavors. Hoppy. Malty. Bit chewy. Orange zest. Nice take on the style.
