COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our aggressive Imperial Red Ale is a massive mix of smooth malts and West Coast hops that have no patience for the lupulin leery. This crimson beer starts with caramel-like malt flavor that cant suppress the assertive, citrusy hop finale.

Much maltier than the version they brewed last year. Big caramel nose, the hops are there but with very little bitterness.

"Nicely balances caramel and nutty aroma with blasts of fresh citrus. Flavor is tame - not an in your face hoppy red, but the hop flavor, light spice and aromatics are definitely there. Another solid addition to the beer camp line."

Bottle shared at Chrisos mid-week lasting 03/07/14. Bottle from cotteridge wines. Caramel/ red coloured pour with a lasting loose off white head. Aroma is leather, smoked pine, resin tobacco. Flavour is nice resin, pine needles with a big clean bitterness. Some fruity tangerine and toasted bread malt. Palate is full, sticky resin. Lingering clean piney bitterness. This bottle held up well.

Tap @ Black Bottle. Pours a fairly clear dark reddish orange appearance with a tan head. Somewhat piney, a bit dank, slightly floral hoppy, caramel, citrusy aroma. Somewhat strong and a bit boozy, burnt caramel malty, earthy, spicy hoppy flavor that finishes a bit goopy and slightly strong. OK.

Bottle from Capones. Pours hazy deep coppery ruby with 2-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is heavy piney hops, citrus, caramel malt. Tastes caramel malty, very resiny and hoppy, with a bitter piney finish. This one is a hop heads wet dream.

Bottle picked up at Jacks Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, 20 November 2013 consumed at home, Thursday 21st November 2013 Crikey this is a blinder fron Sierra Nevada, bit pokey, with that sort of trademark SN thumbrint flavour but a lovely malty citrussy combination. Some loose swishy lemon, soft in mouth, dark copper with foamy light beige head. Alcohol does hit you with a hoppy splat, plenty of fresh hoppy burps here. Marvellous. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
