Poured from 12oz bottle. One of three beers in Beer Camp 12 pack. Fantastic beer. Very interesting beer. Fantastic malt opening with a hop finish to remember. This beer should be a regular offering.

Absolutely delicious. Glows bright red in the sun. Perfect balance of hops and maltiness. Huge red1 mallons72 (208) - livonia, Michigan, USA - SEP 18, 2013
I do not believe I’ve had a better beer than this. Not a fan of malty ambers, but this is more of an ipa. Perfectly balanced. The almost perfect beer. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - AUG 27, 2013
This red ale is so dark it almost looks black. The head is bitter and stick. Pininess and dusty dirt characterize the aroma. The flavor starts with caramel malt instantly crushed by the west coast hops and leading into the smoothest finish available in a beer anywhere. All hail IRAs. If you aren’t smiling this will wipe that frown clean off your face. zacgillbanks (5418) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2014
Bottle from Trembling Madness, York. A dark hazy copper-red coloured beer with a very rich red rich fruity flavour, burnt toffee, pine and sarsaparilla notes and a bitter pine finish.

Tasty red IPA. Has that Sierra Nevada signature to it. caramel, roasty, resin, leaves, red, clear, white foam, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, sticky, creamy, lively, bitter, MattShizzle (617) - Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 22, 2013
Bottle - from "Beer Camp" sampler. Deep copper color. Mostly clear. Aroma is mostly malty with a bit of roast. Really good! Quite hoppy with some malt flavor. Would definitely buy a case of this if available. TourDeBeer (123) - your mummas pants, AUSTRALIA - NOV 23, 2013
Malt aromas, sticky taste, high bitters, fairly high carbonation. Great appearance I hope the rest of the beer camps are this good

Bottle. Really excellent beer.
Lovely hop aroma, which follows through in the taste, but with real body and depth.
Excellent. TheMaha (57) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 13, 2013
Hello my love how was your day? Poured from the 12oz bottle to a tulip. Less "red" that expected, appearance is a dark cherry wood. Aromas are superb!. First rush on the nose is a nice blend of fresh floral hops (A SN trademark) cherry, currant and caramel malts. The alcohol gives a pop on the end of the nose. Good complexity. Stone and tropical fruits also make themselves known in the aroma. The mouth feel is surprisingly light considering the bitterness from the hops. Bitter-fruity-juicy-with a touch of sweetness, the finish retains that clean Sierra Nevada Profile. This is and amazingly approachable ale. A bit of black plum and grapefruit, and caramel and toffee and and and...Just a lot going on. The abv is well hidden. I enjoyed the finish, long but not overpowering bitter and mouthwatering citrus. Fridge some of this.
