3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: seltzer, froth, and rind, some dough; Appearance: nut brown, thick creamy head upon pour that lingers, lots of rings (lace?); Taste: quite bitter like a DIPA, just a hint of carmalized oat, not burnt though, can definately pick out the grapefruit rind, but not so much the melon or the peach, also slightly metallic; Palate: a somewhat mixed aftertaste, gets a bit sweet if you sip it, sometimes the bitter lingers, sometimes that malt settles on the back of the tongue, seems to change throughout the course of a pint; Overall: initial impression is that it is more like a DIPA than a red ale, but, after a while, you kind of sort of get the idea that there’s more to this beer than initially meets the eye (or the tastebuds in this case), I’d recommend it

12 oz. bottle from DrSilverworm - thanks again, Chris! Pours a clear reddish amber color with a big frothy off-white head that laces the glass. Notes of caramel and amber malts, citrus fruits, grass, sugars, soap, and some toast on the finish. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a malty, bitter mouthfeel. Has held up better than expected. Good beer. Andrus86 (667) - Busselton, WA, AUSTRALIA - JAN 9, 2015
BOTTLE. (poured 7th Jan 2015) Fluffy white head pouring a ruby to orange. Orange peel on the nose. Citrus vibes up front with a sharp strong hoppy bite to the end.... Age has dulled it down

"2nd beer tried out of 2012 mixer, and another winner. Malt-wise reminds me of a Tahoe Red...nutty and slightly sweet. Dark. The hops are almost in contrast but it works really well, and the brewer’s description is spot on...peach and grapefruit dominate the hops. Nice brew."

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear red pour with a very thick tan head. Floral and peppery aroma with a dry citrus note. Flavor is rather dry and astringent with a lingering peppery hop flavor. Probably a bit past its prime but still not bad. Hoppsan (151) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 16, 2014
