Knightro ESB is a fully nitrogenated beer designed as our take on the creamy cask ales of England with a decidedly Sierra Nevada twist. Knightro is mahogany brown in color with a rich caramel and bready malt aroma used as a platform to showcase bundles of earthy and herbal English-style hops. This beer has a creamy mouth feel and gentle carbonation from the use of a high percentage of nitrogen instead of the typical CO₂.

On tap @ Dunderbaks. Pours a cloudy dull orange with thin white head. Nose is citrus and pine hops, grainy, bready with hints of sweet caramel. Flavor is a nice balance of hop flavor both mild citrus and pine melded with sweet grainy flavor. The mouthfeel was great due to the fact that this was on a nitro tap. Very well done and easy to drink.

Nitro @ TFD Boise - Pours amber with a huge off white frothy nitro head...aroma is grainy and roasty, hop florals, burnt wood...flavour is nicely bitter, pine resin and roasted grain, toasted bread, lt dry malt finish and lingering pitchy bite...this tastes EXACTLY like what one would expect from the statement "A Sierra Nevada Bitter pushed w/ Nitrogen"...a hoppy and creamy take on an otherwise forgettable style...pretty tasty...

Nitro at RnH, with an appropriately creamy head. Grassy, bready, surprisingly hoppy nose. Very creamy, slightly milky. Soft, super-clean body, biscuit, almond, cookie. Very tasty.

On tap at the Copper Mine Pub, North Arlington NJ. Pours a cloudy orange with a foamy white head. Hoppy pine and citrus in the nose. Flavor starts our with a hoppy kick, followed by a touch of caramel sweetness, finishes a with a dry, malty touch. Creamy mouthfeel, nice and easy to drink. Very good ESB, worth a try if you can find it.

Pours hazy amber with a big, offwhite head, sheet lace. Smells. Malty and sweet and caramelly malty, with some earth. Tastes the same, sweet and malty, some earth, sugar. Medium body, velvetty carb.

Tap at Rattle n Hum. Poured a dark brown with a thin beige head. Nose is big roasted malts. Nice roasted malts with some good hop notes. Better than Guinness to me, but a nice nitro version of thier stout.

Nitro draft at copper mine pub. Dark amber orange pour with light tan head. Sweet fruit esters and light bitter and malt notes. Some nutty flavors added to aroma notes make up flavor, body is more appealing than most esbs due to Nitro.

Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 26, 2010
Tap at RNH. Pours a hazed deep brown with a good off white head. Aroma is earthy nutty doughy light fruity ester and English nutty yeast character. Flavor is leather, earth, dust, toast, caramel malts, grass, fruits, and a mostly dry finish, slight mineral and toast in the end as well. Ok.

IndianaRed (4544) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 13, 2010
On Tap at the Front Door, Boise. Hazy orange/amber with dense nitro I diced head. Soft subtle malt aromas due to the insulating blanket of micr-bubbles on the top. Slightly toasts malt flavors with bitter bite characteristic of the style. Very soft smooth palate, again, thanks to the nitrogen. Modest biter trailer. All in all not very bitter for a brew that claims to be a "bitter".

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Nitro @ The Front Door: Pours a golden blond color with a hint of amber. The nose is...not there because of the nitro. The flavor is has a creamy mouthfeel and smooth body. Nice clean noble hops and toasted malts in the finish, but really nitro is just not my thing. I can see how it can show ingredients in their raw form, but you have to get about 10x the volume just to see that.
