On tap at Churchkey. Served in a mini snifter. Pours a moderate red-amber color with an off-white head and some lacing. The nose carries some citrus hops and a touch of pine atop some bready malt. Flavor has bready malt with a slight bit of toast and amber. Citrus hops and a bit of pine and earth. Medium body with good carbonation. Somewhat bitter. Pretty good. Tap thanks to argo0 and craftycarl21. 360, thick, white lace atop clear red. Oh no, imperial red ale again.... Juicy hop nose. Taste is tea, cherries, nuts, mild astringency and tannins. Some cherry fruit juice. Finish is a palate wrecker- like sucking on tree bark. Not good within a tasting flight. Had to be abandoned quickly. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 5, 2012
Draft. Lightly hazed garnet body, small beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some orange. Taste is moderately sweet, orange/grapefruit, some cherry, light herb. Medium body, some resin. oteyj (2139) - New Hampshire, USA - JUN 4, 2012
On tap at Churchkey for the tap takeover. Clear copper pour with a medium white head. Caramel malt, biscuity breadiness, and resinously hoppy dark fruit lead to big caramel dark fruit and sticky sap. Full body with filling carbonation and a sticky finish. Super mild oxidation. arminjewell (9670) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 20, 2012
Pour on tap at Parry’s Pizza, dark red pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of garlic, onion notes with hints of pine and grass, touch of biscuit, caramel notes, hints of orange in there as well. Taste is a bit odd with a herbal note, touch of grass and pine, hints of orange, caramel and toffee, slight earth, finishing fairly bitter.

At Avery’s 2012 Strong Ale Fest. Clear amber with that signature foamy thick light khaki head from SN. Aroma is sticky floral hops, dank sweet malts, and a touch of citrus. Taste is kinda weird, with flavors of bitter pine hops, light caramel, a touch of cardboard, more herbal hop bitterness, and some weird malty sweetness, not sure how to place it.
