On tap at the Pourhouse. Pours a glowing hazy light amber with a tall, rocky white head. Good amount of clingy lacing. Herbal, citrusy aroma. Hops up front in the taste with a healthy bitter, citrusy bite followed by a fruity, spicy, yeasty swirl of flavors. Silky, prickly texture and a long but dry, bitter finish. vtafro (7451) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - APR 12, 2011
Draft @ Rattle ’N’ Hum SN event. Golden pour with a light lacing. Light spice, citrus, and yeast aroma. Flavor is light, spice and citrus flavors. Not very different from it’s "cousin." ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 27, 2011
A - Pours a clear yellow-orange color with a little bit of head that has okay retention and some spotty lacing.
S - The most powerful smell is the yeasty smell. This is joined by some fruity smells and touch of spices.
T - Nice consistent malt taste throughout. The beer starts out with a bit of sweetness, which is blended out by some hops taste. The hops eventually become more present and some nice bitterness is added. There are also some light spice and floral tastes mixed in. The aftertaste is fairly bitter.
M - Medium-light bodied, medium carbonation. Fairly dry, but the carbonation and bitterness keep it crisp.
D - Nice overall balance of flavors and overall a very smooth beer. Could use a bit more depth to the flavors, but what is here blends together really nicely for a very tasty and approachable beer. JoeMcPhee (10137) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 19, 2011
Tap at Pony Bar drunk alongside the Vice. Slightly hazy pale golden pour. The aroma is lightly spicy with a fairly hoppy aroma. Leanish malts - but I suspect they could be even dryer. Spicy and a little bit citrusy. As it warms more of the lemony citrus comes out. The peppery flavour is enhanced as well. There seems to be a citrusy hop element in here in addition to the yeast contribution - but I’m not 100% on that. Quite a nice saison. malrubius (3090) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - JAN 14, 2011
Catch up time. On tap at R n H. Spicy tart aroma. Very spicy peachy. Spice settles as it warms. Very good.

Draft. Pours a hazy golden body with a white head. Spicy yeast y hop tones. Citrus, bitter hops. A bit sweet mint, herbs, and fruit toned esters. A bit brighter with a soft fruit citrus tone. I preferred this to the vice. Dickinsonbeer (5073) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 3, 2010
Tap at RNH. Pours a slightly lighter version of Vice- almost a golden yellow with a green tinge to it?- then a quickly diminishing head- to nothing. Aroma is grassy- slightly hoppier than the Vice- some slight old dusty yeasty notes- phenols and slight sulfur from fermentation- almost get a green minty fruity herbal hop like sterling- peppery and spicy- kinda like a dupont that wasn’t fermented quite right. Flavor is almost a slight bubblegum phenol, light grass, slight toasted malts, corn, doughy pils, spicy peppery notes, light hops, green, fresh and zesty dry spicy finish. I kinda liked this one too. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 30, 2010
tap @ RnH - hazy yellow pour. touch of citrus lemon/lime, barnyard, sulfur and hint of cabbage. Soft-bodied hint of banana slime. Actually works, though, tasty. Tingly carbonation and clove. TeamTrappist (832) - jericho, New York, USA - NOV 30, 2010
Tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a cloudy light amber. Nose is minty and yeasty. A bit on the thin side, light fruit notes. Some light sour and spice notes. Light and dry finish.
