Brilliant clear golden color with a thin very sticky white head. Nice Belgian yeasty peppery and lightly tree fruity nose with a kiss of wheat bread. Smooth full flavor that’s crisp and Belgian pale malty with lots of smooth peppery esters and a clean fruity note. Crisp malty yeasty flavor at the end. On tap @ San Diego Brewing: poured with a beautiful topping of head with a color hard to tell due to the dim lights at the bar. The aroma was spiced lovely, however, the flavor was only moderately spiced and seemed to run a little thin and watered down, but was still a clean and crisp drink. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 13, 2010
Pours a medium to heavy golden color, nose is spicy and fruity, taste is pretty disappointing, apple peels, pepper, lemon, meh beerfest5 (1207) - Cloneen, IRELAND - APR 17, 2010
not nearly as good as i was hoping. like apple juice, seriously, thats the first and only thing i could think of when i drank it, pure apple juice. thin white head that was gone in a flash, crystal clear amber color, aroma is of apples and some yeast. not going to make that mistake again, should be better coming from a brewer that usually makes some great beers. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of spice, some floral hints, dry malt, grassy. Tastes grassy and dry with some fruity hints on the finish.

Tasted 7/21/09. Draft from Cicero’s. Filtered with a dark amber hue. Clinging off-white head. Bready spicy aromas with a touch of toffee. Medium bodied with a lot of fruity esters. Red and dark fruit. Dry and really nice finish. Subtle coffee and dark chocolate undertone. Tasty. Tmoney99 (14472) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 22, 2009
Draft at SN tasting at Olives.
Poured dark clear copper with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate spice, fruity and floral aroma. Medium to full body with sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
This beer goes well with the calamari app. Lubiere (13900) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 17, 2009
A blonde saison with a thick white head. An organic smelling ale with Brett, raspberries, epsom salts...wow! In mouth, a nice light saison with orange peels, smooth and fresh, coriander notes. Quite nice! On tap at Falling Rock Tap room, 24 Jan. 2009. DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 30, 2009
(11/18/08) Draught at The Brickskeller in Washington DC. Hazy golden color with a medium stable white head. Aroma has some funky , quite infected-like, qualities (not good but no so bad either) and some spiciness. Sourish flavor, a bit bretty with some sweet malt, fruits and spicy notes. Medium-bodied. Decent. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 29, 2009
On tap at the Falling Rock, apparently Chris Black was a part of brewing this beer. Nice orange color served in a pint glass(?). It smells like vinegar and weirdness. The taste is peppery, candy, really makes me think about what I am tasting. Very easy to drink. good beer but what else can you expect from Sierra Nevada.
