GABF 2006. Much smoother than I was expecting. Not a huge hop profile like the regular Bigfoot. Nonetheless, a great beer. Due to it’s mellow flavor, I feel this was probably an older Bigfoot vintage, but I’m not sure how old. Hope they bottle this stuff so I can try some more. Good stuff. smcd (366) - USA - OCT 2, 2006
(09/2006. Draft.) Aromas of vanilla and wood ... sweet maltiness wafting from the glass. Deep amber colored. Creamy, white head that llasts nicely. Dry and woody with hints of vanilla and all the things Bigfoot is known for coming on through. Smooth on the palate, but nicely bodied (medium-full to full) ... softly carbonated ... strange for the big head. Tastes, alas, do not linger. 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 2, 2006
GABF 2006. The beer pours to a lightly hazed caramel chestnut colored body with a creamy white head. The aroma is extremely oaky, sweet vanilla, light banana, barley. The flavor is really oaked, dry woodsyness, some tannins, some barley. Over barreled. Very creamy and delicate palate. MIBRomeo (2579) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 2, 2006
light brown color whispy off white head not much lace. Mostly oak aromas some good carmels, no real hop pressence. Palate is well coated and lightly creamy. Flvor is full of wood & tannins finishes dry w/ lots of sweet carmels and some grassy hops. Pretty good, but a bit to much woo dand not very airomatic.
