UPDATED: JUN 29, 2014 On draught at Lucky Labrador Barleywine and Big Beer Festival 3/9/13. 2010 vintage, rated a 3.7. Oxidized to an almost metallic taste. Still retains a caramel flavor, though the hoppiness has been smoothed out. From bottle 4/4/14. 2014 vintage, rated 3.8. Copper color. Bright citrus aroma with notes of crystalized sugar. Taste is caramelized grapefruit and other tart citrus, pine resin, and sticky sweet malt. Retains a bittersweet alcohol note on the finish, with the caramel and tart citrus remaining. On draught at Roscoe’s for Sierra Nevada Summit/Tap Takeover 6/29/14. 2012 vintage. Enjoy the caramelized hoppiness and complexity.

Bottle from Systembolaget (9,6%). Vintage 2017. Color is copper with small white head. Aroma is hopy and apricot. Taste is malty, bittersweet and somewhat floral with a sting of alcohol. Gives a bitter aftertaste. Sipping it ,it reminds a bit of taking small tastes of a well chilled brandy. Pleasant and enjoyable.

Reddish brown colour with a white head. Balanced fruit and malt aroma. An initial sweetness leads to a big hop bitterness on finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2016 bottle. Brown/Amber Color. Strong intense Malt flavor followed by huge hoppiness. Hop aroma and bitterness balance the malt perfectly but Hop flavor overpowers everything If drunk fresh and does not help the balance of the beer. Best let it mature for a couple of years

Bottle shared at home. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Nose is sweet, caramel, burnt sugar. Taste is medium bitterness. Lingering, intense bitter aftertaste. I’m kinda missing the barley winey sweet notes. Feels like a dipa with all this bitterness...

Draft at Growler Spot. Chestnut colored and full bodied. Boozy malt flavor and sweet finish. Very polished barleywine.

Vintage 2017. Aroma of sweet fruits, malt & raisins. Amber red with large lightly brown head. Very bitter & light sweet taste. Full bodied, creamy texture & soft carbonation. Guess it’s still immature.

Brown, small head. Initial malty sweetness quickly overpowered by HUGE amount of old school, bitter hops. Nice...!

This was tasted by Cannery Row Beer Club. This is a 2016 that was aged for 1 year. Cheers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
