Here I am drinking a bottle of the 2013 version of the 4 time Gold Medal winner. It’s been 18 years since this brew won it’s last award, so I am convinced it has been disqualified for being too good. What a beer!

D. Pours a clear dark brown color with khaki head. Not bad flavor, it’s just too strong for me.

Bottle from Systembolaget (9,6%). Vintage 2017. Color is copper with small white head. Aroma is hopy and apricot. Taste is malty, bittersweet and somewhat floral with a sting of alcohol. Gives a bitter aftertaste. Sipping it ,it reminds a bit of taking small tastes of a well chilled brandy. Pleasant and enjoyable.

Reddish brown colour with a white head. Balanced fruit and malt aroma. An initial sweetness leads to a big hop bitterness on finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2016 bottle. Brown/Amber Color. Strong intense Malt flavor followed by huge hoppiness. Hop aroma and bitterness balance the malt perfectly but Hop flavor overpowers everything If drunk fresh and does not help the balance of the beer. Best let it mature for a couple of years
