Black with nice tan head. Chocolate malt, grapefruit, and pine. Fruitier than I might have expected from the color. Nice, but not really my style. Much better in a glass than a bottle. Good carbonation. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 12, 2015
Pours near black with a durable tan head. Coffee roastiness, grapefruit bitterness, light grassy and chocolate notes. Well done. pivo (2689) - GERMANY - APR 11, 2015
Dark black with a biege foamy head. Toasted malt taste amidst a big bitter. Nice beer but maybe a little unbalanced. Light a Schwarzbier with hops! YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - APR 11, 2015
Beautiful pitch black color with a frothy head. Citrusy and roasted malt nose. Long lasting roasted coffee bean taste with bitter hop notes. Interesting.

Black with a thick tan head. Aroma is roasted coffee with a hint of hops. Hops are more forward in the flavor. Roast coffee malt in the finish. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 2, 2015
Dark pour, bountiful beige head. Aroma of toasted malts, citrus and hop. Mildly bitter it has a bit of spongy fruit flavors. Cereal, malts, hops. Smooth indeed. VeinAle (135) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Opaque pour with a thick beige head. Smells of coffee porter and resin. Taste is early creamy chocolate and coffee, followed abruptly by bitter and sweets. Nice bipa. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 24, 2015
Black/brown pour with foamy clinging tan head and lace. Aroma is light roasted malt and resiny hops. Flavor is roasty, light touch of coffee and a good bitter finish. Medium body with good carbonation. A beer that could pass as a stout, just a good beer. MattShizzle (618) - Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 23, 2015
Bottle - from sampler pack. Opaque - very dark brown to black in color. Large tan head, coffee and hops in aroma. Very hoppy with roasted flavors too. Quite good.
