This product is nicely spicy, and smells the same. It’s decent, but firmly middle of the road as it doesn’t really distinguish itself in any way. FrkAabenhuus (147) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2005
Pours hazy golden with a medium white head. Nice hoppy nose with flowers and spices. Taste is hoppy, fruity, spicy again with a floral touch. A very fresh and pleasant beer. arjoseph (642) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 13, 2005
On tap into shaker glass, Crescent Moon Ale House, Omaha NE. Clear orange amber in the glass. Not much white head, diminishes mostly. Nice lacing, ok racing. Minty, anise-ish highlights to a spicy hop smell full of corriander. I haven’t smelled this much corriander in a beer since Traquair Jacobite. Taste is hoppy, hoppy, hoppy: nice level of bittering hops with spicy peppery hops dominant. Some grapefruity flavors linger beneath. There was some malt sweetness, but not much malt presence. The hops onslaught in it’s spicy variety was almost harsh; the beer didn’t seem balanced at all. Enjoyable, but a bit over-rated in my opinion. Very nice beer. Hearty and warming with a pleasant and smooth taste. Will drink this again. Nice spicy taste, with a sweet malty character. BLends into a light hop finish. Maxamillion (103) - Glendora, California, USA - MAY 9, 2005
Pours darkish brown with tall frothy head. Strong floral aroma. strong hop and barley presence. Very hearty flavor. Pretty decent beer but alittle over done with the barley malt. Other than that its pretty decent. Warms the crap out of you.

My 2003 six-pack. Can’t beleive I have waited two weeks to actually try it...
Pours a hazy dark copper with a creamy lacy white head. Smells hoppy. Bitter and spicy.
Taste is dominated by assertive hops with a sour spicy (nutmeg flavors among others) malt. medium bodied but feels bigger than that. Smooth and drinkable. One of my favorite winter seasonals, never disappoints.

Pours hazy golden yellow with a thick white head. Citric, extreme hoppy nose, and flavour as well. Acidic, Refreshing taste, somewhat flowery. Sweet. Great bitterness. An excellent ale. Medium to full bodied. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 8, 2005
Poured a slightly-cloudy amber with a medium head. Head dissipated after a couple minutes, but some stayed almost ’til I finished the beer. Floral and fruity hops dominated the nose. Light and well-carbonated mouthfeel. There was plenty of hoppy-fruity goodness in the taste. Very good, well-balanced beer. dornoy (701) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 7, 2005
Medium white head on a dark golden body. Srtong flavour, really a Winter beer, good with spicy food. Citrus notes and malty. Really warms you! SpudClampDawg (1029) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - APR 29, 2005
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2007 This ale should be celebrated at only $7.50/sixer. Pours a beautiful honey/straw with a bubbly white head. The nice citrus aroma is woven together with some tasty malt undertones. The flavor is somewhat meaty, and warms slightly in the finish. Great winter warmer.
