2010 edition. Pours a light amber with not so thick fluffy head that lasts for the duration. Scent is of floral hops. Taste consists of hops (obviously) with sour notes in the finish. Nice lasting hops sensation in the mouth for a bit after.
Forgot to rate this one, been a while back. Just remembered it being very full body and strong. too strong for my meal really. Maybe by itself it would have been better. lmojoh (873) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2017

More of an earthy taste. Kind of a toffee taste. The hops are overpowering everything else. Expectations are misleading.

Originally rated on 1/18/2009. Had this one today at Opal Devines in Austin. Flavor of floral hops with a nice bitterness, with a decent malt backbone. Normally you wouldnt think of an ipa as a christmas brew but this is a pretty good beer no matter the season

355 ml bottle. Unclear reddish amber body with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma has malt, caramel, citric fruit and flowers. Flavor is sweet, smooth malt with some caramel, citric fruit, spices and moderate bitterness. Fine balanced body and long lasting, pleasant aftertaste. Not the most bitter IPA in the class, but sure a fine ale anyway, smooth, tasty and balanced. beer_rookie (584) - Arkansas, USA - FEB 17, 2017
Pours a beautiful copper amber color. Lots and lots and lots of head. Some black sediment at the bottom of the glass, it never was suspended, went straight to the bottom. Excellent lacing, excellent retention. WOW!!john44 (3111) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2017
Aroma is like sweaty socks...yeah. I’ll call that earthy hops. Light citrus and citrus rind. Some tropical fruit. Meh
Taste is pretty good. Malty, hoppy bitter. It’s more bitter, but it takes a few sips to really kick in. There’s some good tropical fruit salad stuff going on here.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, bitter, but takes a while to kick in. Oily. Lingering bitterness.
Overall, it’s pretty good. It’s somewhere between an IPA and a DIPA. The lacing and head retention on this are amazing, and it’s easy to look over some of its flaws because it does look so amazing. I acquired this through a trade, and it’s a shame. I’d like to have a couple more. I’d recommend it, and I’m thirsty for more.
Draft Half Pint at White Horse Old Ale Festival 2009, Parsons Green, London in Nov 2009 - Intense hoppy aroma and intense taste. Very Hoppy; resiny spicy peppery floral American hops. Very fruity; bitter oranges. Solid Malty base; caramel, toffee, hint of honey and almonds. Fruity sweetness leads to resiny hoppy bitterness. Very dry bitter hoppy finish. Lovely Beer! (2009-11)

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2017 On tap. Pours clouded dark copper, large tan sticky head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, orange, cedar, dark fruit, roasted caramel malts. Taste of same with lots of roasted grain and grass to balance the quite bitter citrus, spicy hops. HourGlass13 (945) - North Carolina, USA - FEB 7, 2017
Pours a dark copper color, with a foamy white head and ample lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, some malt, sweetness and bit of grain. Taste is citrus, pine needles, malt sweetness. Nice bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Medium body, creamy with a nice blend of citrus and malt character. Enjoyable beer
