Tasted sour cherries, toffee, tart and dark fruits. A bit bland an disappointing overall.
Medium body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish.
After some high hopes, this just didn’t work. Probably wouldn’t have it again.
Roast malts, chocolate and caramel. Clear brown amber with a rich white head. Chocolaty malts, some light cherry in the back and some grains. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - JUL 6, 2013
On tap at the Sliders pub inside the Alameda County Fair. It pours a clear dark reddish color with a rather large off white head. The aroma is pretty standard brown ale fare. Toasty malts, light cocoa powder and just a faint hint of cherry fruit. The flavor is the same, mostly toasted brown malt with hints of fruity sweetness. Decent dry finish. I was hoping for more cherry flavor and more body. ajnepple (6428) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 25, 2013

Somewhat juicy, cinnamon, dull wild cherry, toasty malty flavor. Flavor is better than the aroma. anders37 (26156) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAR 28, 2013

On tap at Backcountry Pizza poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of carmel, light cherry and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, light cherry and light earthiness with a smooth lingering fruity carmel finish. onceblind (9418) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Clear nutty brown with a generous foamy light beige head. Sweet aroma with some nutty brown ale maltiness with a slight hint of cocoa, with a light tone of dark cherries hidden underneath. Flavor is balanced and sweet, though lacking a little bit on body. Light nutty malt and some not-too-sweet chocolate tones mix with a bready yeastiness and a very light generic cherry flavor that I wish was stronger. Nice beer, but it needs more of everything, particularly cherry if its going to be named this.
