Bottle at Bagby, Oceanside. Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla. The finish was on the dry side.

12oz bottle from this year's Snowpack. Dark brown nearly black with a frothy and persistent beige head. Prominent coffee as expected, but also tasty dark chocolate, vanilla, nuts. Not overly sweet (good thing). Lowish carbonation and a medium body. Well balanced coffee finish with roasty and cocoa notes to close out. Very enjoyable. hawthorne00 (4274) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 12, 2018
Bottle. Dark brown with a beige head that's soon a coat. Aroma of syrup-sweetened over-roasted iced coffee, pretty firm roasted malt, burnt sugar. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. A dull bitterness at the end rather flattens the palate. The taste otherwise echoes the aroma. A bit of a miss for me. jgb9348 (6726) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 21, 2018
Rich, deep dark brown coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall off-white head that fades relatively slowly. Aroma of rich chocolate, a good sweetness from lactose and a tiny bit of coffee bitterness around, but there is more of the roasted malt and bitterness than anything else. Medium-bodied; Assertive coffee and chocolate flavours with a bigger roasty and earthier malt flavour with some burnt flavours and a deep pungent grainy note near the end. Aftertaste shows some sugars that are caramelised or just plain burnt with a big dose of coffee bitterness and a lot of chocolate flavours with some mushrooms and earth near the end. Overall, a nice and deeper stout with some definite coffee flavours throughout, but also a lot of chocolate and grainy notes. Nice to sample, especially as this is the first I've ever seen this beer. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant Food in Arlington (Columbia Pike), Virginia on 22-November-2017 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 20-January-2018.

Dark pour, one finger head. Smells like iced coffee. The flavor follows suit, iced coffee infused with chocolate liquer flavors. Very mild sweetness. This was one of the more enjoyable nonimperial stouts I’ve had recently. Nekronos (4252) - Xalapa, MEXICO - JAN 14, 2018

A fine coffee stout that delivers deep roast bean aroma and flavor, but is still beery. Notes of dark chocolate and caramel are there in background. Nice dark brown our with a lacy brown head. Drinks full but still light enough to chug. Long coffee fade. Excellent. Weevo (187) - Indiana, USA - JAN 11, 2018

1/03/2017 (12 fl. oz. bottle): Mocha-like aroma of medium-roast coffee with milk and semi-sweet chocolate; deep coffee brown color with a dense, lasting tan-colored head; rich mocha flavor (semi-sweet chocolate and coffee that isn't overpowering or burnt), balanced sweetness, dark fruits as the beer warms, roasty and slightly nutty in the finish (more espresso-like finish as the beer warms as well); medium-full bodied, smooth and creamy mouthfeel; really quite an excellent coffee stout and I like it very much!
