Draft. Pours a bruin body with an off white head and faint retention. Malty body dark fruit tones raisins and a citrus sort of sweetness. A bit thin with very light carbonation. Light sweetness and a mild finish. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Draft @ The Front Door, Boise: Pours a light amber color with a light head. The nose is light and toasty with some light hops and some fragrant malt. Not quite as full and fresh as its predecessor but it’s an easy drinking beer. Partigyle is a bit dated, but it’s fun to taste the outcome on certain styles such as this. Unfortunately, they blew this one out of the water with the tumbler so there’s no need for this anymore. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 17, 2010
Growler at a CL release. Pours a deep copper red and a thin off white head. Aroma is spicy, woody, moderately sharp sweetness, rough harsh burnt malts and toffee, roast, green woody hops, light citrus and sweet. Flavor is sweet and hoppy trying to cover up some astringency from some burnt malts, astringent over-sparge and slight solvent, some apple and earth - eh- ok. Reviewed from notes. On tap at Churchkey.
Pours a moderate caramel brown. Almost looks woody. Nose is fairly light, but there are noticeable notes of leafy hops, leather, maple, and molasses. The taste certainly brings a lot of these elements, though they are certainly faint. The finish is dry and brings out a bit more. I wonder if this would have been better in cask.

Draught at Capone’s: Faint aroma of malts and slight birch. Poured very deep orange/very deep amber/brown in color with a small, off-white head that diminished but lasted around the edges. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of light roasted malt, burnt malt, wood, and birch. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Roasted malt finish. Disappointing.

On tap at Del Cerro Liquors in San Diego. Pours a clear medium brown with a fading beige head. Aroma is caramel and bready malt, orange peel, and floral hops. Flavor is caramel, toffee, orange peel, and citrus/floral hops, some leafy notes. Body is medium light and the finish is bitter. Decent overall but didn’t live up to the hype. Will need to try Life & Limb. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - NOV 27, 2009
Tap at Capones. Pours a lightly hazy deep amber with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of hop tea, light birch, some maple, floral hops and toffee. Flavor of hop tea, weed, very resiny hop profile. callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 29, 2011
A: Dark brown body. Thin-ish head with spotty lacing left as the head slowly receded.
S: Earthy, woodsy, leathery. Not too much going on here, but some interesting notes. Light hop bitterness.
T: Wow. A rather "life"less flavor profile. Muted outdoorsy spice and caramel malt. Almost (flat) cola like in both taste and feel.
M: Off-ish cola feel. Very light carbonation. Thin, but not watery in feel. Slightly slick.
O: Just was not working for me here. goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - FEB 22, 2010
Tap @ Rattle n’ Hum. Poured a clear deep chestnut color with an off-white head. The mildly roasty aroma was of light coffee beans and chocolate. Grapefruit citrus hops also mix in. Citrus and grapefruit hop flavor from front to back with some mild notes of chocolate and coffee. Light body. Long very hoppy finish with a mild bitterness. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 2, 2010
