From memory, this ESB is relatively dry for the style and the US hops make it unique compared to most ESBs, due to the hop bite. A good, unique take on the ESB style. arminjewell (9664) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 30, 2011
Pours nice orange with white head. Aroma has notes of grass, earth, some pine. Taste is nice balance of grass, earth, leading into biscuit with a nice bitter finish. Pretty good ESB. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 13, 2010
Tap. Pours a deep bright copper with a thin lasting white head- some lace. Aroma is herbal grassy light tea light citrus and some toffee and light caramel. Flavor is also slightly earthy and tea with flowery hops- with light biscuit, toffee, and some clean light crystal and toast- mostly clean finish with a slight mineral hint which makes it pretty easy drinking. Mineral turns to slight chalkiness as it warms. Still good though. adam42381 (386) - Fort Myers, Florida, USA - JUL 25, 2010
Appearance: Poured a light copper color with a clean 1 finger white head.
Smell: Hints of bitter citrus with sweet malt.
Taste: Citrus up front. Bitterness builds up to the finish. Bitter aftertaste that isn’t overpowering.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied. Decent amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Goes down smooth. Not too heavy. You could drink a few of these in a sitting.
Overall: I’d definitely recommend giving this "Early Spring Beer" a shot. I enjoyed it thoroughly. popery (2170) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 7, 2010
Nice looking ESB. It’s a nice medium amber color liquid with an excellent head with lots of lacing. The nose is sweet with malt and earthy hops. Some West Coast hop notes are also present. The flavor is more on style for an ESB than I would have expected, but it’s still a definite Sierra Nevada beer. There are some good notes of biscuit, cookies and mineral hops. The feel is pretty good, but the beer gets a tad medicinal through an entire glass.

Bottle. Hazy orange copper with off-white head. Aromas of caramel, grass, lemon zest, spice, and pine. Flavors of biscuit, lemon zest, spice, apple, caramel, tannins, and juniper berries. Salty finish. Medium-thin body with foamy mouthfeel and moderate, soft carbonation. oOJUXEOo (303) - Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 13, 2010
