COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our handmade Estate Ale highlights the flavors of home. From the sun-drenched fields of California’s North Valley comes our Estate Ale. It’s rich with the flavors of the valley—hops with earthy, grapefruit-like flavors and layered spicy aromas, and barley with mild sweetness and smooth, toasted flavors. Enjoy this remarkable homegrown ale, made with organic wet hops and barley grown at our brewery in Chico, and one of the few estate-made ales produced anywhere in the world. Together, these crops grow alongside the brewery to make a truly unique brew.

Grassy and fruity aroma with some citrus is very inviting. Beautiful golden amber in color with a mountainous rocky head. Luscious mingling of green, sticky hops, some citrus and apple and tons of malt backbone. hops are incredibly juicy. Lingering resinous bitterness invites you to take another sip immediately. Doesn’t finish quite as dry as a typical SN product. I think this is great! Bravo!

750ml bottle, 2017 edition. Herbal hop aroma with notes of toasted malt, floral, grapefruit and pine resiny hops. Pours clear amber colored with a huge off white head that has excellent retention and decent, soapy lacing. Starts with herbal and floral hops flavors with notes of toasted malt. Finishes dry and fairly smooth with grapefruit hop citrus and some bitter pine resiny hop flavors that linger on the palate. Pretty nice ipa.

Bottle at the JimGreen tasting, Den Haag, December 2017. Thanks Jeroen. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is fresh hop, malt, slightly herbal, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a fresh crisp, dry light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at Jim’s back tasting! Waxed bottle even. Clear golden with off white head. Resin, fresh hops, sweet caramel malts, tea, green tea, bread, lots of herbs, sweat, earthy notes. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Bit old school, it’s not bad but it’s really malty for the abv.

Clean, clear copper color with a big soapy white head of foam. The aroma and taste are light in orange peel, barley, with herbaceous, earthy, and peppery hops. Leaves a lot to be desired from such a cool bottle and the marketing that goes with it.

sonnycheeba (6439) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 10, 2017
Bottle. Pours amber. Aroma and flavor are caramel and biscuit malt, floral and great hops, clean with a touch of sweetness and dry, bitter finish. Medium body.

Not an ipa guy but this was very good. only had a couple of ounces. many many things going on - resin, light citrus, medicinal in flavor. hops are not bitter - balanced the many things happening here

Very earthy flavors. Hops are prominent. Has some herbal flavors also. Almost a gin like IPA. Or a Yeager IPA? Unique. Not much citrus. Head fades but stays present. Still balanced. Very interesting. Very light on the nose. But some herbal hops stays. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
