pours black with ruby hues...minimal head. aroma has some nice soury oak and roast. flavor follows suit...great balance between oak and sour and roast. mouthfeel is light and the finish is dry and oaky with a hint of roasty sour dark fruit. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - JUN 12, 2012
On tap at Churchkey. Served in a mini snifter. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head and a bit of lacing. The nose has roast underlying some vinous notes and a light lactic acidity. Some cherry and light dark fruits. Flavor is roasty with a moderate lactic sourness. Red wine underneath as well as some oak. Medium body. Dry, sour finish. Interesting and good, but without the complexity of many Russian River sours. This probably could have used some more time in the barrel. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2012
On draft at Memphis Taproom. Pours opaque black with tan head. Nose of roasted malts and dark sour fruit. Tart with a thin mouthfeel. Roasted malts with sour cherries, plums, chocolate

Tap at CK. Deep ruby pour looking near black. Small, thin layer of foam. Nose is toffee, mild butter/diacetyl. Taste is tangy, barely sour, more just "tart". Dry, tannic, red wine finish with big barrel flavor. RR Consecration barrels? Small lactic and citric acid in the finish with refreshing saltwater. Very good overall despite the seeming off character in the nose. oteyj (2139) - New Hampshire, USA - JUN 4, 2012
On tap at Churchkey for the tap takeover. Black pour with a medium off white head. Caramel toffee and huge red fruits. Hints of butterscotch pudding. Medium body with low carbonation. patrickfannon (1241) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Glass at the RR/SN dinner at Monk’s. Pours dark chicory, almost black, with a wispy, espresso head. Aroma of wet basement, dog sweat, briney sea air, dark chocolate, pinot noir, tobacco, and some slight oakiness. Light bodied, sort of tangy palate, and tastes very much like tart coffee with some salt in it. Not a big fan of this one. Alright. PhillyCraft (7720) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2012
