COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each year, we partner with a different German brewer to explore the roots of Germany’s famous Oktoberfest beers. This year, we’re collaborating with Germany’s Brauhaus Faust in Miltenberg, whose approach to the classic style we’ve long admired. The result is a festival beer true to their style—deep golden in color with deceptively rich malt flavor and balanced by traditional German-grown whole-cone hops.

Pours deep gold in color with minimal head and decent latticing. Subtle aromas of sweey malt on the nose. Rich malts and mild hops blend well on the tongue. Smooth, malt lingers while hoppiness shows up but doesn't linger. Very good example of a marzan.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2017 So glad they did this beer with Faust. I’ve been to their brewery in Miltenberg and they are a class operation! Found the spear to be very good. The multi this is balanced really nice, and it feels great in your mouth. The golden color reminds me of autumn. So sad that I won’t be able to get this beer after the next couple of weeks. This has been a favorite

OK, its a bottle with the label pictured. Mild perfume sweet aroma. Surprised I haven't had a S/N fest before. Pours a richer looking pale to the eye. Taste is strongish malt medicine with a tad of sweet spice on the end. Acceptable beefy alky brew.

Bottle from Hop City Atlanta. I'm really starting to look forward to these annual releases. Classic fest beer with a decent amount of hoppiness. Great.

kraddel (8890) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - NOV 7, 2017
Bottle. Pours clear, bit darker blonde. medium-low sized head, rather stable. Smell is bit weak, mild sweetness, tad grainy ( white bread). taste is sweet, bitter ( not overly so ) , some green, grassy aspects of the hops, very mild fruityness. The beer, regardless of the low abv, does have a bite to it. Very nice beer !

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. 2017 batch. It pours a carbonated copper color with a modest somewhat lasting cram colored. head. Decent clarity. Big Euro-malt aroma on the nose with sweetness and sourdough. A little peaty. Medium body. The sweet malts play up big in the taste and there is a traditional feel about the flavor with a mild to moderate bitterness at the finish. I quite enjoyed this one.

It pours deep golden with moderate head retention. It is very clear overall. It has aromas of toast with herbal elements. There is a slight hint of fruit, apple. It has flavors of toast with a bit of dough. It is also quite spicy. There is a slight hint of fruit, apple. It has a moderate body with a smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Overall, it is a rather clear beer with the hops is support and the focus on the malts.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2017 Bottle. Clear amber with light off-white head. Cereal, banana and caramel. Cereal and caramel. Sweet but less so than most märzens. Malty finish. Märzen is not my favorite style but this is a style-pure version of it.

this is an Octoberfest???? I have liked their previous brews for Octoberfest, but this one is far too hoppy and light to be considered an Octoberfest. Not sure what they are thinking when they think of Octoberfest. This isnt a good version, at all.
