Color is more brassy, between yellow lager and copper Oktoberfest. Sturdy, puffy head. Malty smell with a little more amber toast than the color suggests. Taste is nicely malty, no phenol or smoke, but “crisp”. Hops provide some prickly bitterness with the bubble. I suspect a larger concentration of Noble hops than is normal, maybe even some Cascade. Sitting on the porch with this in our 91° September afternoon, and it is hitting just the right spots. This is the first time I’ve encountered SN’s Oktoberfest series, and I’m now sorry I missed the previous collaborations.
@ Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Festival 2017: Småsöt och maltig - men inte nåt särskillt inspirerande. KansaiBeerLvrs (5305) - Kyoto, JAPAN - OCT 20, 2017
Bottle from Taniguchi, overpriced - maybe even more than the Hanshin Event. 650¥+ for one bottle is ridiculous! Clear Amber color with a biscuity roasty aroma. Light bodied and crisp, with lots of rich malt notes and a peppery herbal hop character. I like it but not as much as yesterday's Be Easy...
It does pair nicely with the sausages which brings out smokey notes from both.

A 12 fl oz bottle, packaged on 7th July 2017, poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass. It was a nice clear copper colour with a just under two finger white head that had decent retention and left behind nice lacing. Aromas of toasted bready malts, black tea, grassy, herbal with a splash of lime. Tastes of bready malts, cracker, apple, pear and grass with a touch of spice and floral notes. Light to medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Overall, this was pretty good. I enjoyed this version more than the ones from 2015 and 2016. gyllenbock (9711) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2017
Sample at SBWF 2017. Golden with a white head. On the sweet side with malt, mild hops and some fruit. An ok one. cwill (99) - Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2017
Deep golden pour into a dimpled stein. Aromas of rich toasted malt, with caramel, yeast and grain. Tastes of a very rich toasted malt and bread and with a mild earthy hop note and touch of citrus. Medium to light carbonation with a bitterness, dry finish. This is a unique and tasty beer. Not your typically marzen, but a very good beer none the less.

Squat, potato masher 12oz bottle with a festive Bavarian-style label. Clear, pinky-orange with a short white head. Cereal, powdery malt aroma. Nutty sweet, husky, slightly astringent, slightly toasted, Vienna-esque. A little astringent and straw-bitter at the very end. Generally pretty tasty and sessionable. Market Square Liquors, Tallahassee. Bill Becker (1367) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 10, 2017
Bottled September 27th.
Pours a clear and bright gold with a lot of bubble action and a great head of foam.
Toffee, bread, kinda grainy with a light hop nose.
Toffee, earthy malt, bits of grass here and there. Certainly not sweet and mildly bitter, eminently drinkable. Fresh is as fresh does. Atom (2558) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 9, 2017
12oz bottle pours a clear golden copper with a large white head. Faint aroma of caramel and toffee malt. Taste of clean light caramel and toffee malt with light yeast and hops on the finish. Low on overall flavor but drinkable. zizzybalubba (1880) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - OCT 8, 2017
12 oz. can from Total Wine, Raleigh (Triangle). Canned July 7, 2017. Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white pour. Aroma of damp pale malt and faint floral hops. Taste is somewhat sweet with notes of caramel and graham cracker blended with floral and mildly citrusy hops. Clean finish. The best American-made Oktoberfest-style beer I have had. weordie (1353) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2017
Pours clear copper with a thin head. Aroma is malty bread. Flavour is very malty bread too, bit of bisuitness and very light corn. I quite like it as far as lagers go.
